If devs didn't want it they would have either fixed it or made spawn locations random. Otherwise it is pretty legit.

100% yes.

But i must state that in my eyes there are 2 types of spawn killing.

1.) Where you deliberately hold off taking an objective because you have near full rein. and instead just spawn kamp to pad your kills and K/d ratio. this i do not support...

2.) When attacking you beat your way into thier base and part of your squad goes to camp the spawns with shotguns while you arm crates. in this case rendering them uterly incapable of defusing. This i will do any time i get the chance. it's highly effective and the team that allowed us to get them in that situation is to blame. no competent team would let that happen. 9/10 times its the result of defenders going off to camp and no one is covering the flanks or one of the approaches to the base and allows a full squad to get in and begin an organized spawn kill/base rape

I do but not intentionally as such. I won't stay by the spawn and constantly kill. If I see any enemy I will try to kill them so meh. I have trouble doing it becuase I don't like staying in one place. That is why I don't go RECON much.

Me either... My RECON skillz went down the tube since becoming a chopper/specialist guy

the only time i do it is when im rolling in squad we'll take turns at each base so spawns are covered while someone quicklly arms both crates... it don't last to long tho because after a few kills the charge goes off and we move on.

That depends on what exactly you consider spawn killing.

I spawn-kill if the enemy is dumb enough to spawn on their squadmate while I'm peppering them with shots already.

However, I don't watch over their base and attempt to pick people off without going for some sort of objective (like the flag or Gold Crates).

Just because someone does it doesn't mean they have no skill. It just means they don't care. So Talentless? No. Ethicless? Maybe. Immoral? Possibly. But it's just a game and it's well within game parameters.

again spawn kill is when you crouch by the only spot they spawn and kill them before they can move. certain posters with high ranks do this, see above posters

Standing behind the spawn point with a knife or NS is lame.
You can do it easily by holding choke points. They have plenty of time to spawn and run around, but they still die

There is no point in SKing in the first bases. Kick butt to the last base as attacker, and kill for the rest of the day (unlimited respawns). SKing as defender can bite you in the lalala if the other team breaks out, noobs ususally have this happen to them. As my Clan leader BKB Knight Wolf puts it, Base Raping. I Base Raped a noob team on Oasis last night, 26-0 KD as defender. You had a chance to fire a shot, and plenty of opportunity to kill me, but the other team just lacked talent. Should you let noobs kill you in other to prove they had a chance? Didn't think so.

If you can prevent the enemy from ever leaving the spawn point to defuse or defend anything then your doing good for your team. sorry if some people don't like it. if you cant handle it get OUT.

Heres the bottom line tiered servers. put roughly equal skilled players against each other. this would never happen! A good skilled team would not get spawned camped. if your to weak to prevent it then you deserve to have it happen to you. cry to dice for being thrown in with hardcore players.

I will never play to a lower standard to give the enemy a fair chance. i don't arty glitch, I don't Q-scope, I don't even barely roll recon anymore. if i can get in your base with my squad and rape your whole team then secure the spawns while our team takes the boxes you suck and deserve to loose. i did nothing wrong. get over it, get more skills, or go find a noob server

Did this for 2 hours in one room. All his buddies left after 10 minutes. This dude stayed, and I made my other 3 guys stay.....so 4 of us, and him. Dude glitched the arty, so I gltiched his lalala with a knife. Beautiful retribution.

the fact that no one mentioned my post that should have effectively put this arguement to rest, makes everyone who posts here further a nobody. then again, just about every post i've made on this arguement should have ended it, so there ya go.

i wish had said this months ago when i first realized it, then people would actually believe me when i said that spawn killing is the evolution of a good player. if you spawn kill or at least know how to and choose not to for what ever reason, but still understand the reasoning behind it, then you are a good player. if your complaining about it, then your nothing but a noob. take a look at all the people who argued against me about spawn killing. most of them do it now. and all of them who do do it, are what i would now consider to be a good player. which means before, i didn't consider you to be a good player. reason why i never mentioned it before was simple politics. i didn't really want to hurt anybody else's feelings. but now, i really just don't give a lalalala.
