Server Issues

Okay the other night i tried hoping onto battlefield bad company to play online with my friend but when i went to search for a game it said
'' joining game ''
and then would sit there for about 30-40 seconds and then come up with
'' connection to game has been lost. please check your network connection and try again '' '' the game appears to be unaviable, please try again''
so i tried and tried again and it keeps coming up with this problem. does anyone know how to fix it ??

I'm perplexed but now, more annoyed than anything else. I expect that after long periods of play that my copy of BFBC will eventually freeze up and I'll have to restart my PS3. It's expected. Now I have a brand new PS3 Slim and it doesn't do it as often, but now I cannot play, period.

There's a problem with connecting. I don't know if the servers are down or if it's just me? BFBC is the only game I'm unable to connect to online right now and it just started doing this yesterday, after a freeze. I've tried continuously to log into the EA servers for the last 2 days, and I'm only getting "Failed to connect to EA Online".

DICE, do you know anything of this? Could you please PM or something? It lalalalaes me off that I cannot play my favorite game online anymore.

That sounds deeper than just a game issue.

Do you have any other on-line EA game to see if you can connect to them?

I would also check your network settings. Look to see if the ports are now blocked for some reason.

Sometimes I can't enter a game, ranked or unranked! It just takes a minute to freak out when "Joining Game" and then it says it's unavailable!

Every time i try to log in to multiplayer this is what i get as a message "Network Error" Ive contacted your customer support line and have spoken to reps whom cant fix it and have emailed them. This has been going on for over 4months now. Im getting very frustrated bc I love this game and its the reason I play xbox360. My user name is SomeOldGuy58. My daughter plays on the same xbox with her own gamertag and she can get into multiplayer. Please help with this issue.

same here and im with comcast. what has worked for me SOMETIMES is completely turning off the plalalalaing switch in back), waiting about 20 seconds then turning it on and going as fast as the machine allow to the multiplayer game. still sometimes it doesnt work. or i get into a game NO ONE is in. I'm having the same problems with joining and getting the cannot join, connection problem messages. I would be less concerned if it didn't happen when I try to play Skate 2 online (another EA game), but it does. The trick is, when I go to play anything else in my stash, like World at War, or Ultimate Alliance 2, I can play online without a single problem. Riddle me that one . . .

Does no one want to fix server issues that still remain? Random lag all over the place isn't exactly an ideal play situation.

I have not had problems connecting since they had the fix but the last two days I have not been able to connect. Other non-EA games I have had no problems with.

This may not be what any of your problems are due to but its worth having a look.
A friend of mine had some issues with his PS3 which was disconnecting from the internet in the middle of a game. His son also had the same problems on his Xbox360. I asked how he was connecting to the internet either with a router or just through a Modem and if the issues were arising at the same time which now and again they were.
He told me how frustrating this was getting to be so i told him as he was using a PC to do a complete Virus scan of his PC. But before doing this i asked him to use a piece of software called Hijack this, prepare a report and send me the report to look through everything that was in his PC. I found his computer laden with a number of Viruses and two of them were pretty bad ones. A root kit had been installed on his machine his connection had been Hijacked. He brought the PC to me and i carefully removed all the problems he had in the PC including the RootKit which can and often does damage the O/S. Once complete i gave him his machine back and this cured his connection problem. What i should point out is that he would only loose connection when his PC was also on as well as his PS3. Just thought i should add this??

So the last week i've been unable to play BF:BC on my main profile because everytime I try to connect to the EA server a message pops up saying the "Connection With EA Was Lost". No matter how many times I try it, it always fails. It is working fine on my 2nd profile, and this is the first time the problem has occured.

the demo wont let me log in to the multiplayer it says failed to log in to ea when i already have an ea account or has the servers on the demo gone or something .this game looks awesome and i just wanna try the mutliplayer...:/ can anyone help me here?

Yeah, you NEED to fix the dang servers. Lag is pathetic when there's like 9 on each team and more. It's been lalalala lalalala lalalala in the last week. Unplayable. No, my connection is not an issue nor anything else on my end as everytrhing else is pe4rfect and it only started in the last week.

Connection lost happens sometimes too.
EA NEEDS to get this fixed!!!!

My connections are sometimes good and sometimes bad. When it's bad it seems like I'm not reacting until after being shot, like not getting tank rounds shown hitting me, or sniper lockon or just always shooting late and dying dying dying. It comes and it goes. (Central US) So nowadays if all the timing seems off, I quit and join another game.

But what about this 3 AM server issue where the game just exits with no message or the connection kicks you? Happened this morning at 3 AM (no message) and 4 AM (connection lost messge) both.

Wild. Maybe it's time to shut the servers down from 6 AM to 6 PM and do defrags or something. Perhaps some of the ethernet plug keeper are broken and they're falling out. heh

This really ticks me off because when the servers are overloaded you will be trying to switch weapon to med pack or anything and when you hit the right bumper one time it changes twice. Or you will be moving and then stop and then you will slowly slide backwards or forwards or sometimes you are moving, but it doesn't let you actually move until sometime later when it jumps.

Also and this happens in single player, but more on an overloaded server. When walking into a house you will sometimes jump to the other side of the house right when you enter the door.

This must be fixed by EA. If not we should force them to fix and acknowledge these issues. Unacceptable behavior EA!!!! bleep. hehe.

Thats a good observation, I might switch off my PC when playing on the Xbox!

I've had a few connection problems myself, espicially when I'm leading the game on points! This happened 3 times this week...arrrgggghhh.
Lag doesn't seem to be a problem anymore, it just cuts off completely ...!

Good afternoon.
I had HUGE problems with game on a network.
At attempt to be connected writes that connection with servers ЕА is lost and leaves on the basic screen. Before such problems was not.
I on PS play 3 all games except this online support very well. I ask to solve the given problem as game more network than single it would be desirable also the second part to buy but yet I will not be solved problems with this!

I was playing online like some of the other guys and all my weapons and unlocks are all gone. I am always telling people that Bad Company is much better than Call of Duty but with my continuous problems of not being able to have my friends join my squad and getting the "Failed try again" message to the poor connection, I'm having second thoughts.

Hey EA can u hear me? U have Bad Company 2 coming out in March. Customer service still can't fix the problems with this, the first installment. Why not spend more time making THIS game great instead of making another so so online game. I have send at least a dozen emails to customer tech support and they give me the run around OR they tell me to reset this and reinstall that. WHY WOULD U MAKE A GAME IF U HAVE TO DO THAT JUST TO MAKE IT WORK THE WAY IT IS SUPPOSED TO? You shouldn't have to do all that stuff just to play the game as it was intended and from the looks of this blog, I'm not the only one.

PLEASE PLEASE fix this stuff. I never have heard anyone have problems like this for any other online military game. Thank you.
