I'll see what I can do about getting a look at the settings for a Linksys. I should still have one around here some where to compare the settings. It may be a little bit, but I will post back when I can.

This is a fast run through of the Linksys settings. I hope that it may help. I have not tried it to see how it all handles. But it should be somewhat similar. I cannot guarantee that it will work the same way.
The UPnP is located in the Administration tab under Management. The Application and Gaming Tab has the Port settings, as well as the DMZ, and QoS settings. Security is where the Firewall setting is located at. The Wireless tab has the basic wireless settings. There is also the Security section for it, Mac Filtering, and Advanced wireless settings. The Setup Tab is going that have the Basic settings for the IP and server setup, as well as the DDNS, Mac Address, and Advanced settings. The Advanced setting is where your NAT setting, Dynamic Routing, and Static routing are located. The Status tab is going to show you your basic router and connection information. You will also find the Local Network info there that shows the DHCP Client table. The wireless network section shows the information that tells how your wireless is setup. So to recap in comparison to my guide it should be like this. Method one:
I hope that it helps. I will try to refine the main post later after I do all of my acctual testing for that router as well.

Vector I have a wired linksys router if that makes a difference. I cant find QoS, management, or a Gaming Tab. I looked under basic and advanced setup. Cant find either one of them.
And just another question. Why did this all of a sudden happy to BFBC? I played it online since it came out and just a month ago it stopped working? Thanks for all the help.

I know that they are different depending on the version. What I just listed above was from a Wireless-N router yet the one I have here is from a Wireless-G router. With the Port forwarding I list the ports that the PSN is suppose uses within the first postings. But it may not be what is really being used. PSN
![]() Notice the the second port has 10000 instead of 6000 as listed above. I mention that in the OP as well. So what you want to do is set it up using the the ports that I have listed in the picture. It would be best to see what your active ports are when you try to connect just to make sure that they are right. You want to set up the (peer to peer) and (VOIP) as seperate port option. I know you are not using an XBox but here is a picture that shows an example of how it should look. The naming would be different as well as the port numbers, protocal, and console IP. ![]() So for (peer to peer) you should have the Ext. & Int. ports as 3658, the protocol as UDP only, the last digits of the IP should be the ones that your PS3 is using. For the (VOIP) you should have the Ext. port as 10000 and the Inter as 3658, the protocol as UDP only, and the las digits of the IP as the ones the console is using as well. I would name them as something like (PSN BC) for the (peer to peer) & for (PSN VOIP) for the the (VOIP). I have yet to try my Linksys router out here to see how it truly differers. I have been busy.

From what I gather by the way you said it, it sounds as if you both have separate consoles. I would also look to see if the router is set up just for one of them to use it. In the picture I posted above you can see that the port forwarding is set up just for one console. The (To IP Address) section identifies it as such. You may need to set up your router to allow both of them separately. I think that I must also mention that the picture I post has the ports need for my nephews Halo game and it was not meant for Bad Company. So I am not sure if the ports in that picture will work. So the 80 in the picture may be 88 for this game.

Here gentleman. I use this site at my work. Its a visual simulator for almost every router around. Diff models and such. After you pick it, it actually lets you pick the app your are trying to run and even has xbox360 and ps3 setting for port forwarding. If nothing else you can at least click thru it to see how to connect to your router and how its setup. where the options and such are.

I decided to updated the original post in this thread with info on a nice little tool for checking if your ports are open. It is called PFPortChecker from the PortForward.com site.
It will be very helpful for people that are trying to setup port forwarding within there router for the Consoles. You can see the info I wrote on it at the bottom of my main Original Posting for this thread.
