Default Make bad company split screen multiplayer? Why not

I have just had some friends over to show them how awesome this game is. But they all said it was lalalala becoz we had to take turns playing since there is no split screen modes.
Would it be to much trouble to have another update tat alows split screen multiplayer either offline of online?
thx alot if it goes through

won't happen in an update
Doubt it will happen in future release.

Generally most games don't have split-screen anymore.... it's pretty lame, I am saving money to buy a second Xbox for my wifey so we can play BFBC together

Yah, I am hoping for...

More players per server. At LEAST 32, preferably 48 - 64
More vehicles, most notably air transport. also large sea craft
Clan support. Not for me, but just to keep the large player base active. The average quality of players has dropped significantly since release.
Better game UI and backend server management. You all know what I am talkin bout here

Default split screen would rule!!

I think this would be a GREAT idea. It worked well for ghost recon, and it would allow for my female counterpart and also any company that would visit to join in without having a second console(not to say I wouldn't want a 2nd one....it's just not economically viable right now). Just imagine the mass pwnage by having a person sitting next to you, coordinating attacks & strategies, and not having to rely on communication thru the still buggy mics. You could desimate all.

split is good idea but not all games with split let you use guest account online so you could have to pay for a second gold account, but that seems to depends on the game company making it.

Oh yeah, i hear ya real clear. But i'm just wondering how HUGE the maps would have to be with 32 people on one map...well, maybe not to bad, but 48 then we'd have to make big maps, which means more lag and stuff.

Split screen would also be really amazing, though i also doubt it'll happen. Whatever happens, if another bad company comes out, i'm buying it ASAP, i couldn't wait to try out all the new stuff, and the feel/look of it.
But maybe i'm getting to ahead of myself... it might even be a couple of years before it comes out... Guess ya deal with what you got

Yah, i would LOVE split screen.... *sigh*

I think left 4 dead has split screen online, so I am probably going to be getting that.

I don't know why it has been left out so much lately :-\

Oh, and as for lag on servers, I don't get it myself.... PC game servers host 64 people no problem (well, maybe with the lag we get with 24 people) and they have to deal with a myriad of different processing powers, so I don't get it. You'd think having large lag free games would be easy on consoles where everything is the same

yeah... the game is glitched and laggy enough with 12 a side.

what would be most fair is 2 give australian and new zealand players a server or 2, if we dont have adsl2 then we basically can not win a knife fight.

also recon is overpowerd (its my most used kit), i can easy beat most people in 1 on 1 from close range with a pistol, can easily own any 1 from long range, and i can own tanks. this clearly is overpowered.

the gunner seat on all vehicles should be able 2 see snipers as red dots, if in like 100 meters and pointing teh 50 cal somewhere near them.

the first base in harvest day is impossible to take if every defender snipes. if every1 on 1 team is the same kit, the game should be easy but like i say recon is way overpowered.

and last but not least, split screen would be stupid, its bad enough being able 2 have people on diff teams in the same party, you could look at ur mates side of the screen if ur on diff teams and see where every enemy is.

although i guess they could allow it on unranked as there are no stats and cheating really shouldnt bother anyone on unranked.

It helps to have someone in the room so much. My friend brought his xbox over to my house yesterday, and we both broke 1000 points in a single game.

Basically what you are asking for is a sequel to BF2 - on PC...? ;)

Co-op and split screen is awesome, I agree, but I doubt it will ever be introduced in Bad Company.

The player cap is lower on console due to technical limitations.

Frontlines: Fuel of War is up to 50 players on dedicated Xbox servers. This was the case from March this year. Couldn't Battlefield manage something similar?

Yeah but CoD:WaW only has 18 players on the console version (compared to over 40 on PC). Just talked to our QA person about this, and she said we tested with more players but it didn't work out. Not familiar with Frontlines: Fuel of War, but I would expect we have other limitations they don't have. Just speculating now ;)

(ok you got me curious, and all-knowing wiki says this: "The game features dedicated servers similar to Battlefield 2: Modern Combat as well as client-side hosting found in the majority of Live-enabled Xbox 360 games. This is done in order to support the 50 player limit, which is unprecedented on the console. Client-side hosting will still be available, but will only support a 16 player maximum)"

CoD: WAW is supported by client side hosting though, isn't it? While I'm no programmer, I'm sure that number could be raised with dedicated boxs doing the hosting - Activision choose not to do so, though.

I'm suprised you haven't heard of Frontlines. While the single player is a bit bland, the multiplayer is exceptional - 25 per team on some of the games bigger maps made the game epic at times. You'd find yourself cowering in a burnt out building while choppers and jets roared overhead dropping bombs on anything that moves.

While the battlefield wasn't as destructable as BFBC's, getting into a lag free, 50-player game was more than a match for Bad Companys action. It's a crying shame that it didn't sell better.

Oh, I see....

Apparently the developer is famous for the Desert Combat mod (which I've never played! D'oh!). Although, I really just went from 1942, Vietnam, 2142 then Modern Combat on the Xbox and then the Xbox 360.

Now I come to think of it, you guys are responsible for taking possibly the most amount of time out of my life playing one paticular series of games.

Go to your user CP, signature.

When you have the signature box up, go to the button that allows you to add an image. Then, when the promp appears, paste this in it: "http://card.mygamercard.net/nxe/Ronin0ni.png" without the speech marks.

That should do it.
