To Do's For the Update and New Maps

Hi Everyone,

As the Update and new map pack release gets ever so close I wanted to remind folks of the best practices for installing this new Title Update and Map Pack. Please share, plagiarize, and/or blog this info to help all the other BFBC player get the new maps and Title Update!

Xbox 360: Start your BFBC game and when you see the prompt to download/Install the Title Update hit accept. After the game starts let it get to the 'Press Start' menu and then quit back to the Dashboard. Once there visit Marketplace and look for the new BFBC download Titled something like "Battlefield: Bad Company Community Choice Pack". After downloading start the game and run a new CQ map from custom Maps and enjoy!

PS3: Start your BFBC game and when you see the prompt to download/Install the Title Update hit accept. After downloading let the game start and run a new CQ map from custom Maps and enjoy!

ARe we going to get a FULL list of fixes in this patch prior to it coming on Thursday. I would like to see a full list if there is one.

....A note for the 360 users that haven't d/loaded this add-on yet (I just got the 60Gb version due to my 20Gb getting '3-RRoD', pah.. tis a really, really quiet console!!)....you can login as normal to the online games. When you select to play 'custom' and attempt to play it, it tells you there's an update. If you press the letter 'A' on the controller as asked on the screen, you will be taken to the BFBC marketplace section automatically. Just find the correct download and hit confirm. It will take a minimum of 5 mins (3.1mb connection) to download. 56k - good luck!!

Edit: Daft thing is, as I've just found out, you will need to hit the Guide button and then press 'Y' to take you back to the dashboard, then reload the game as normal. You'll notice on selecting the HDD to save files that the download was installed. ...Game on as normal.

go to custom match and then choose conquest, then the preferred map and it should take u to it

In theory. If your chosen map doesn't come up the 1st time, quit out of the game when you get the chance to and then go through the process again -

Multiplayer > Custom > GR or Conquest > Preferred map.

It can take me anything between 1 and 8 goes to get into Par for the course.

yeah, but where are the maps for goldrush? i dont play conquest an i was waiting 4 ages for the new maps an they arnt even on goldrush, y the lalala not?! will there ever be? how about a new game mode aswell, capture flag, customisable deathmatches or maybe even a gta4 style battle race, bad idea? definatly not

capture the flag and conquest could be deemed as the same, seeing as you're effectively capturing a flag in conquest mode!

Agreed. I'd pay for remakes of both the PC versions of BF and the last console game 'Modern Combat', including vehicles, aircraft and weapons.

It's all very well people saying they have our money, but wages, overheads, etc, still need to be paid even after we've bought the game to develop new programmes. We're in a recession ladies, they aren't going to make something for free anymore, so if we want extras (not bug fixes), then I think we're gonna have to dip our hands into our pockets.
