offer bfbc multiplayer only with added clan support for psn download and for those that want to purchase it. minus the single player elements not needed. Kinda like warhawk I would be willing to pay also, rather than buying a new game like socom which they claim will have clan support id rather pay more for this one to get fixed. A lot of the good competitive players will also do it because of the fun factor. Last edited by H34T533K3R_; 09-10-2008 at 03:58 PM.. |

thats still the big issue, can a home 360 host a bad company server, or if other hardware is needed how would it work. most people cant host a very good bf2142,bf2 game on a home pc for example unless you only want few people playing.

No, you do not need hosting. BF:MC had both clan support and a feature to start a new server on EA's side. The simple option of letting us start a new game that EA doesn't fill with people (i.e. we fill from friends lists) would work just fine.

I will not vote on this because the vote is sort of messed up and misleading.
I do think that "Yes we need it asap.". But not at the expense of paying for it. It is something that we are expected to have. By putting the wordings or stipulations behind the Yes or No vote; you force people into a conundrum. It messes the poll up. It should have just been a Yes or No vote. Not a Yes or No with added stipulations.

After reading up on some previous threads, seems I didn't need to
ask about the 200kb limit after all - would I be correct in saying it's limited in this way because the data is stored in the 360's cache?? ![]() I'm not gonna assume every 360 owner has a HD for their console, but couldn't something be done that way? Surely it would give the devs more room to work with?

yup it is a 360 limitation.
Which is really a shame for all gamers involved! The guy who made these decsions at DICE.SE should be well n truly ashamed to have not seen this coming. Really am dissapointed in the light of this new fact of 200kb limit, this also prooves why the ps3 has HDS of standard 20 - 40 -60 - 80gb so the dev always knows there is room for improvement. 200kb is nothing really, a 1024x768 desktop picture is bigger than that. GVD lead platform nxt time? PS3 thanks!Microshaft - shafted! the battlefield franchise. In light of this, im now guna just play and not expect any clan support, and hopefully the DLC will keep players going, just continue to update what u can in regards to bugs and that will have to do. Ive played all bf games, i buy all games actually n never sell em, i know for me this game is still good with or without clan support, i bought this game knowing it didn;t have it, so it would of just been an extra feature as a bonus. GVD, keep looking after the bugs n updates u really do a good job with communicating man! .. and next game!! make it a winner ! my request! please fix the coms, and that will have to do. Right there is the magic words. The ability to host our own rooms, is really all that is needed. The chat is fine. The ability to not be able to host a room for ladder matches, etc is the true issue. What you say DICE! DBL ------------------------ Join Us: Tactical Gaming |

2.) Why didn't you guys add the server select feature to this? I believe it would have been 10x better if it was added along with an auto-balance feature for those that don't believe this would have worked. Gordon, am I wrong when I say that there is no way BF:BC is a finished game? It just doesn't seem finished compared to previous battlefield games. Even though they were on the PC shouldn't be any difference at all with these newer consoles that could definitely play a full Battlefield game perfectly fine. All it would have a taken was an integrated friends list or maybe with clan option (kind of like how warhawk has it, but maybe different) and the server select feature (which lets you pick what server you want to be on). That right there would have been enough for clan support. --------------------- There isn't a reason to nickle and dime people for a feature that should have been implemented when this game first released. So is it safe to say we are going to be seeing more features being charged for something as simple as this? I can see an expansion pack being payed for which gives you new vehicles, a couple of new weapons, and 2 or 3 maps. But with something like this, come on now. The option for having an open mic vs pressing a button to activate the mic should have both been implemented into this. Easy to be able to talk to your full team or just your squad by pushing left, right, or down on the D-Pad. Like I said before with the option of also having an open microphone/headset. Like I said in other forums, this is a good game and very addicting despite the flaws that it has. I do believe it when I heard someone say "no one has ever went broke underestimating the stupidity of people", but there are some that know when those people are kind of getting screwed. There is a reason as to why the servers are shrinking for crying out loud. I don't know anymore, whatever, carry on with your poll. Last edited by Lynchpin; 11-10-2008 at 02:12 PM.. |

Microsoft can't allow that. So if the Xbox can't get it then neither console can. Since I'm not in a clan this issue isn't of great importance to me - but as a matter of principle I don't think PS3 gamers should be held back by Microsoft - their monopoly extends far enough as it is. No matter how much PS3 users plead for these features I doubt it will happen. It's like Animal Farm: "Some animals are more equal than others."
