Post tactics that have helped you on the battlefield (even crazy ones):
Recon tactics 1)Call in an air strike on a empty gun emplacement or vehicle, then guide your bomb down onto near by enemy positions to catch them un aware (tactic of EAUK_Phenom) 2)Along the same lines as the previous tactic, but you sneak around the enemy base in a jeep etc and park it. Then fall back and keep laser designating it to bombard their base. 3) If you use the M95 sniper remember it makes a big flash when fired so try to shoot enemy when no one is looking in your direction. Note that hiding deep in bushes helps conceal the flash. 4)spotting targets can be easier with the laser designator than using the sniper scope. 5)the pistol is very accurate and you can get headshots at sniper rifle ranges 6)The Sniper rifles are good cqb hip shoot weapons Support tactics 1)If an enemy hesitates before shooting you (likely they forgot what team they are in), throw out a med kit and sometimes they think you must be a friendly. Then when they turn their back stab them 2)Kill enemy tanks by sneaking up them and using your drill (works best against Russian tanks as they have a high back and the enemy won’t see you very well if you crouch behind them). 3)If you are trapped defending an area surround yourself with medic kits to help absorb some damage. 4)Drill walls. If stuck in a building use your drill on walls to knock them down 5)The power drill can be used as a melee weapon, it takes longer to kill an enemy than with a knife, but it sure will annoy them 6)Your health kit heals you (slowly) while you hold it in your hands. When rushing for cover, switch to your kit, the vital extra health it can give you sometimes makes the difference. Assault tactics: 1) Your assault rifle bullets can do damage to helicopters, and lightly armoured cars/boats 2) A direct m203 grenade round will not kill a full health enemy, so be ready to lay a few rounds into them after hitting them with the grenade Specialist tactics: 1)as specialist stick c4 all over the front of a jeep or light tank, then drive into a enemy building or tank to block it in. Then jump out and detonate to kill the enemy. 2)Sneak alone into the back of the enemy's base and C4 empty vehicles. As they fill up and drive away, click dat button. (better in conquest maps but don't capture the flag or they'll know you're there). Also works with enemy arty. 3)Place your c4 all around the gold room, even behind the gold box if possible. then arm the bomb and run away. When the enemy try to disarm the bomb detonate your C4 to get a multikill and blow the crate Demolition tactics: 1) Doesn’t always work but if a tank is coming right at you, try to fire your rocket under tank. Sometimes it can be a 1 hit kill on an undamaged tank. 2)pile AT mines at choke points and then toss frag at your mines to make really big explosions 3)make a line of AT mines and then detonate them with a frag to create ditches for use as foxholes or anti tank ditches 4)AT Mines do not damage the gold crate, so Defense players can dump loads of mines around the crate and then shoot them to blow up enemy clustered around the crate. Vehicle tactics 1)Even when you have no targets, fire into buildings (especially with explosive rounds). You may get lucky and lightly damage an enemy to make him show on the mini map 2)Heli. The rockets go long range, so stay out of visual range and bombard the enemy positions (useful if you have a mate to spot the fall of rounds) 3)The APC main cannon deals a lot of splash damage so stay at range of enemy buildings and put rounds into it to supress and lightly damage enemy inside. 4)Tanks and APC's have better armour at the front than on the sides or back, so angle your vehicle towards incoming fire 5)Due to its shape, the bradley fighting vehicle can be used as a battering ram against other vehicles. A full speed impact can force a enemy vehicle up and over the top of your bradley and sometimes the enemy vehicle will flip. 6)Humvee vs heli. If you can jump your humvee over a hill and impact a helicopter you will kill it, and you will "probably" survive the impact 7)Helicopter piloting, if you have trouble flying the Helicopters just be gentle.. slow deliberate moves of the controls will help keep you stable. 8 ) tanks dont have to be used as close infantry support. Long range bombardment of enemy installations can yield high kill counts. Random tactics 1)Get a specialist to cover you with designators and then rush the enemy...for some reason this confuses the enemy and you may be able to get a few knife kills whilst they go EH??? 2)During up close kills press Y and a moment later press right trigger to do a double slash with the knife. 3)If you kill a support class, pick up his kit and use it to heal you before you grab your kit and move out (not applicable if you are a support or assault class) Level specific 1)Ascension. Attackers. When you reach the monastery crouch infront of the windows to let friendlys hop on your head 2) Harvest day. As defending sniper at the start of the round run to the left flank and charge down the far left of the map, you can normally get next to the enemy base without being spotted, then hammer them with air strikes. 3)harvest day, as attacker. As attacker once you take the first base, drive a tank into the 2nd base (underground parking area and camp the crate whilst your buddy blows it up Last edited by richardandrews; 10-10-2008 at 02:34 PM.. |

Some nice tips there rich *thumbs up*
I've seen a good tank tactic on Harvest Day? (never remember which map is which) It is the one with Ru and US bases on conquest and underground garage in the middle of map on one base. Basically I've seen 2-3 guys backing up the tank into that garage (I could never blow up the doors????) and then capturing the flag and remaining there. It is virtually impossible to get that tank from out there without coordinated team work as as soon as you damage the tank the Support jumps out and repairs it and the gunner and machine gunner spray everything that move. The tank is one of those light tanks that can shoot multiple rounds quickly. |

You can kill tanks with your power drill?!?!??!?! I did NOT know that!! Awesome
![]() Specialist - Sneak alone into the back of the enemy's base and C4 empty vehicles. As they fill up and drive away, click dat button. (better in conquest maps but don't capture the flag or they'll know you're there). Also works with enemy arty. Support - Your health kit heals you (slowly) while you hold it in your hands. When rushing for cover, switch to your kit, the vital extra health it can give you sometimes makes the difference. Support/Assault - Your guns are powerful enough to cut down light armour like jeeps, boats and choppers. Just persist on emptying clips into them. Vehicle - People don't seem to realise what an infantry killing machine the APC is. Keep a fair distance with it and bombard enemy buildings/areas with sustained barrages of shells. Their splash damage seems to be fairly big. I've had a 12 kill run with no support before now. Vehicle - Jeep/Tank 50 cal machine guns are awesome for tearing up enemy choppers. Assault - the nade launcher is not that good for killing, but is brilliant for opening walls, flashing groups of enemies in buildings, deals surprising damage to heavy armour, clearing a flag capture point alongside a standard grenade, and damaging gold crates. Finally for all - Not sure if *everyone* knows this (most do but just making sure), but you can just as easily destroy gold crates with C4, nade launcher, nades, rocket launcher, and heavy armour cannon fire. I've taken down a crate just using an APC. |

If you are Demolition, pile up AT mines next to the crate go back and blow them with the launcher, it inflicts considerable damage to the crate, alternatively help your Specialist with adding AT mines or finish the crate with few rockets. Don't activate charge on crates you will get unwanted attention from the enemy as alarm sounds.

sorry, ATM's dont dmg crates anymore
However there are other ATM tricks, Lay them in a row and rocket them creating a ditch, do this a couple times (often close to ammo crate right?) and you can create a real obstacal for tanks. 2 wide with a third row center to make it deeper is ideal, EotL this is easy by the ammo crate Foxhole fighing positions, you can create fighting positions for you and your team, Hide in the to shoot your RPG at tanks from, ducking down protects you from fire and being run over. Also, for areas like Over and out ruins, you can toss your ATMs around where the attackers will come at you. When everyone starts lobbing grenades at incomming enemy, they will occasionaly hit your ATM's creating bigger explosion radiuses. This works GREAT around crates since they don't hurt the crates anymore. Obviously its better to use them for AT purposes, but if there are no tanks..... |

Tip on Gold rush
Firstly If your specialist plant c4s to the back and side of the crate -not front- and around the room its placed in- Then activate the charge and run out AS

They removed it cause people like me were taking out crates singlehandedly. With C4 you gotta restock, or have 2 of you, but 1 demo with mines and rockets could destroy a crate with minimal warning because they didn't need to re-arm.
Like I said though, you can use that change to your advantage on defense by covering the rooms in mines (spaced about 5ft so they detonate each other) when the enemy goes in, lob a grenade after them (or fire a rocket) and they will all die instantly. Its like being able to booby trap the place but with mines instead of C4, it has the bonus of surviving you, and is more easily set off by allies if they see enemy run in and toss a grenade. I still see people trying to do it on occasion though LOL. Also, you can do the same thing as attacker. thorw down mines around the crate and the room, set the charge and run where you can toss a grenade in. Booby trap

Nix the tank ditches though, I gave them fairly extensive testing, and they aren't worth the time investment. They work, but it just takes to long when you could be beter positioning yourself and getting ready. Howefver, the natural ditch that results in your mines blowing up are useful, so make use of them. It's actually where I go the idea in the first place.
ATM anti-personell booby traps work great though, highly recommended around crates on defense... just make sure to toss a grenade before running into your own kill zone :P |

A good tip is to have a squad of
Support Assult Specialist Recon and engy --- Firstly get the enginer to plant APMs on most roads and the bridge -NOTE this is for oasis map on gold rush- --- Get your recon onto the top of the cliff face and ready for incomeing soldiers and vechiles use the engies bazzoka to blast a hole into the floor for the support class to fit snuggly into it and make sure he places his health packs inside it --- and order the specialist to sneak into the bushes and use his dark armor to blend in and wait for any sniper to go into the bushes then -Ching ching- AAAAAAAH -Dog tags FTW!-

Your recon tactics couldnt be more true for when you first play the game and u want a nice k/d.But once u want to start taking out 20+ enemys in each round u need to be looking at just geting good at quick scoping and close quaters combat.Basicaly using your rifle as if it was an assault.Ha.
When most try it they find it difficult and go bk to there camping routes. But after a few hours believe me it just clicks. And you can mix both long range and close range up wich makes u that perfect all round sniper talisman. |

Yeah you tend to find that.Just make sure you thro alot of sensors and kno where your enemy is so u can line it up almost let them run into your shots. But the more practice the less u have those dodgy rounds where u try it alot and just find u miss and get wackd.Keep at it because it will click with u.I personaly think its the most skilled way of playing the game. And the simple fact that u can do both close and short range unlike anyone else, you are the most deadly person on the team |

As a recon soldier you can try to cover up muzzle flash by timing your shots. What I mean is, hide further into a bush than normal which covers the flash, and then so that you can actually get the shot you must wait until the branches move out of you line of sight.
As a support class you should try to heal peaple/vehicles as much as possible as it will rack up you point score highly and assist your team as well.
