So hold on. I buy the game. I see other games are being made. And i have to give you guys an update on how your servers are running?
I think not. It's quite simple, either it's a marketing ploy to get people to register with the website. Or your just a bunch of lazy bstards not willing to put the money in to the online service which was working fine a month ago.
The amount of money i, as an individual have put in to your company over the years. Starting with Desert strike, then jungle strike back in the day. I have to put up with what...!?!
Are you guys trying to be offensive? If you need feedback on that.You are!
So you want to know whats happening to my experience on Battlefield 2 Worst Company? :
It freezes my PS3 - makes me think my PS3 is faulty.
When it doesn't freezer - Lagging like *****! - makes me think my network is slower than it needs to be.
When it doesn't lag - It's great!
Sort the lagging, sort the PS3 freezing.
Oh and you guys owe me 2 PS3 sixaxis controllers, and a Dell 24".
Why?
Cause when i bought the game, there was no warning that the online servers may be slow or become overloaded.
As i am only normal, i checked everything in my installation.
Modem and router - replaced
Cabling to ps3 - replace with Cat6
Cabling qualified at 1000base
Switch - replaced with belkin 16 port 1 gig.
Resulting in a ping reduction of 5ms to 26ms to local exchange.
After spending a lot of money on these works i find myself frustrated that my installation was not at fault.
My frustration was demostrated the next time i logged in and lashed out, smashing the ps3 controller against the dell. No intention was meant. Purely a reaction from the frustration endured by your lack of information.
And you want me to tell you how you servers are fairing where i am....
oops, that would be the second ps3 controller.(and a bit more of the Dell)

Bottom line is. I know i'm going to get Nowhere chasing you for the money lost here.
In return the least you can do is - Sort it. Now.
Stop ****ing with new games. Sort the ones you've already got.

Before i sacrifice another controller. Please.
They're just pawns in this checkmate situation, you guys can undo.

sorry ps3 guys but I bought bad company for the xbox the other day and every room ive bein in is o.k.
wasnt going to buy the game as heard about ea's servers being rubish but looks like the update has worked for the serious gamers console. dont blame ea if they dont go to the trouble of finding a fix for the kid's console aka ps3.

1 For the last few weeks, 5 Today for about 30min then 1.

19:30 - 20:00 01/10/08 plus trying most days about 16:30 - 17:00 before that but was laggy as hell everytime.

Id say that the game has been totally unplayable for about 2 or 3 weeks now, possibly even longer.
I've been in touch with my isp and they made a few changes to my line to see if it helped at all, even turned interleaving off but it made no difference. Every other game i play runs smooth with no lag at all really, so i know my line is fine.

Just about to try and play again..... Fingers crossed

Yeah, I know I sometimelalalala all the traffic at night - I notice it on any online game I play sometimes. Afternoons seem to be the best time for me to play, oddly - it roughens up at night.

doesn't seem to be many posts on this?? perhaps a good few people have finally given up?
anyway ive got a biot of spare time so im going to keep updating this........
date: 8th october time: 11.00 am to 12.30 pm
ranked servers performance= 1-3 very laggy then smooth for a while then laggy again, cant stand still due to it stuttering and running was like being in treacle- coming to a halt resulted in an elastic band dragging you back. rpgs 1-2 second delay on firing.
date: 8th october time: 1.00 pm to 1.30 pm
unraked server performance= 5-7 definitely better but not perfect, no elastic band affecting game but still running in treacle! bullet registry a bit of a lottery!

time: 9.00 pm to 10.30pm ranked server rating- 5 at best. nice and smooth for a little while due to low volume of players, as soon as the server was full it lagged.

time: 10.30 pm to 11.15pm unranked server- 8 at best. smooth most of time then lagging with stuttery gameplay and elastic effect.

as a side note: would the amount of different countries joinming any server affect this? i had swedes, americans, english and italians all on the same servers last night- was mayhem.

Time: various (day and night) rating on all ranked- 7 at best. Was a lot better compared to previous days but still not perfect. unranked servers about the same.
from 10 pm saturday night we were getting constant disconnects! however we dont know if this was xbox live playing up or ea's servers. Having played cod: world at war beta for a good amount of time and having no disconnects i wonder if it was battlefield playing up.

well what can i say?? dudging by the amount of posts in this thread no one gives a damn!!
servers are still horrendous and its only occasionally i can actually get on a lag free server.
rpg's have a huge delay making them ineffective on tanks, bullets dont register half the time and the mad stuttering on some levels has made me think twice now about getting call of duty. shame.

rating: 2- absolutely awful, the lag during the day used to be practically non existent! having just come off the servers im shocked at this. lagging everywhere, elastic effect in action, spawning on squad causes you to lag as does actually being near players, its like playing with a drunken soldier. too much action and everything starts going jittery.
bloody rubbish. and not one single reply from ea or anyone else ion regards to this. Just as a note i find it funny that they can reply pretty quickly in regards to the upcoming map pack yet sod all here....is it because its money related?

server rating: near 8!!- was nearly perfect for a good hour or so, then went downhill quite rapidly on ranked servers so final rating of 5.
1 disconnect around 10 oclock.

ranked servers better but still too laggy for a consistant game.....7 rating at a push
the game stutters like cray in oasis and a few others at busy times..terrible.
unranked a little better on and off- 7 rating again.

sjhiurst Rookie Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: portrush, n.ireland Posts: 14	date/time: 16 oct' 9.30- 10.30 'ish server rating: near 8!!- was nearly perfect for a good hour or so, then went downhill quite rapidly on ranked servers so final rating of 5. 1 disconnect around 10 oclock.

sjhiurst Rookie Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: portrush, n.ireland Posts: 14	ho hum ranked servers better but still too laggy for a consistant game.....7 rating at a push the game stutters like cray in oasis and a few others at busy times..terrible. unranked a little better on and off- 7 rating again. oh dear.
