Padded stats wiped

Hear ye, hear ye.

DICE and EA are committed to providing all of our players with a fair online experience.

Yesterday evening we reset the stats of approximately 3,000 players who we determined were exploiting game services/mechanics to gain an unfair advantage over honest players.
Those players who had their stats reset, should receive an e-mail within 24-72 hours explaining why this action was taken against their account.

We want to thank everyone who continues to play Battlefield Bad Company in the spirit intended.

This was not a one-off. We plan to continue scanning and wiping stats of those players who don't like getting stats the correct way. Resistance is futile.

Didn't one of the last xbox Live updates say that known cheaters would have this fact marked on their profile ?
I have a feeling it was for gamerscore boosters - It would be sad if they couldn't apply it in cases like this.

There you go, no reason to team kill the padders anymore. If anyone is stat padding, leave them too it, we'll pick them up and wipe their stats.

With all the complaining i do about the game i thought i would add some praise for maikg a move in the right direction. Hopefully this will make people actually try and play the game rather than half of your team surrounding a jeep.

However though, please make sure you're pretty sure they've cheated before they get wiped. 3 years of BF2 has introduced me to a lot of innocent folk who've had their stats wiped for reasons they can't fathom.

But yeah. Good. Stop those idiots who buy a game to repair a jeep.

something on gamercard wouldnt help, blanking them does since it takes away what the muppets wasted time doing, they wont care if their gamecard said CHEAT.

If they continue to wipe cheats so quickly it should help keep the games free of padders,screenshots working helps as well.



BF2 was far worse for cheats due to medic and ammo supply which wasnt fixed till much later, not to mention how slow cheats were wiped.

Cheats dont get wiped on just someones say so from in a game, bf2 was same you had alot of info on a player so a cheat sticks out, round scores, heals,ammo etc etc is same as bfbc for showing cheats so easy. You get a stupid teamscore but low kills etc you stick out a mile as cheating.

Not yet you can still do it but im sure when they release the patch that will be included like BF2 when a unit flips after so many seconds it blows up

Ya, that's what happened in Modern Combat, so I can't see why it doesn't do the same in BC too.

lol now they only need 2 make shotguns weaker and make sure it takes more skill 2 kill some 1 just like bfmc2 on ps2
