Well it seemed the lag was a bit better yesterday, only for it to crash out every game. Not sure it is an improvement, but at least got a few mins of good gaming before having to re-start again. Lets get this sorted!

I have had that happen to me many times. I thought that it was just me and my poor reactions.

However I did manage to have a knife madness moment. Thought I would sneak up on a person to knife them. They turned round while I was still a good distance away - did I change to gun - no way, just ran onto a hail of lead - Yup I died!

Part of the problem though is that the creating a Squad and Voice do not work, so can be hard to coordinate tatics. Once these are fixed (if they are ever fixed) then I think you will find that a good group will win every time - and therefore people will learn to work together

Agreed. I've had a couple of great games a while ago where the comms were working, and all the guys in my squad had headsets/mics and we all spoke to each other. It was brilliant! It really does make a difference.
I like the feeling of excitement and coordination when you hear things like-

"Incoming tank! Incoming tank!! need an air-strike!!"
"Okay! where!"
"By the bridge!... quick!"
"Okay! on my way!"
Woooooooooshh..... BOOOOOOOM!!!!
"Tank destroyed! Woo hoo!"

etc etc etc... just adds so much fun to the game and makes it more immersive.

Copied from another thread I posted in...........I think we should have an option to go it alone, or at least perhaps a quick option (like the mute thing in Halo 3 & COD4) to stop members being able to spawn on squad if they are team killing. bossmeister3000 & his m8 jack (can't mind the whole thing) were another pair who thought it was hilarious to spawn on squad (i.e. me) & shoot the lalalala out of me. Getting fed up now. Made changes that were not needed, didn't fix the things that needed fixed, & still we have to run with morons on your squad. I actually played COD4 for the first time since Bad Company came out tonight.

Have played BFBC for a total of around 1 hour in the last 3 weeks or so. Conquest does not seem right every game is over really quickly, i presume this is down to the initial game being made for Gold Rush and Conquest been a tag on. Chat system obviously still knackered, no private matches, no decent lobby system, no word from EA etc etc. No wonder BFBC is 8th in the Live activity chart, that is below Halo 3, COD4 and even GOW and GTA4.

The problem we now face with conquest is the games yes they are very stort and the reason behind that is due to the 4 man comms system.

If and when EA add better comms then the games will last a lot longer.

But xbox does not work like PC you have vent and TS and a PC designed to play games.

Xbox has its own voice and games should also

First let me say I really enjoyed Battlefield Bad company in both single and multiplayer mode.
I do however have some questions I would like to ask the developers.


1.Sometimes when I shoot a specialist in the head I hear a tink noise as if I hit them in a helmet even though they dont wear one?
The result is that they take no damage.
Is this because all player models have the same hitboxes and same level of armour?

2. The 40mm grenade launcher fired from the m16/m203 does not kill enemy with a direct hit in multiplayer mode.
Several times I have hit stationary enemy in the chest or face and seen them reduced to only half health.
I know that this weapon wont have much blast radius as it is a directional explosive but I wondered if it was a design choice to not kill a enemy soldier on a direct strike if they have full hp?

3. Would dice be interested in releasing hit box data on their web site to show where is best to hit tanks, apc's and soldiers so players can train to be more efficient with their shot placement

4. Will dice ever consider slowing enemy when they are shot, as sometimes your target can be saturated in fire yet they charge through it and stab you.

5.Will Dice ever implement a training system in game to show players how to use kit? As there are many many support guys out there who dont seem to understand med kits or their power tool because they didnt play the Single Player game.

6. Will Dice ever implement basic voice commands? like hit the direction pad to say a context sensitive voice command?

7. Has dice ever considered monitoring Tks and forcing friendly fire off on players who consistently kill their own team

Well i still cant decide on this game when its good its good but boy when its bad its bad.Love the idea of gold rush and it can work well if u got a squad full of friends pulling in the same direction but my advice is dont bother with it unless u got a squad who talk or want the crates .Unless you treat it as a death match like most other players seem to do its camping sniper heaven.And some times you spawn infront of some one with no chance and some times you spawn behind some poor soul who has made the effort to flank around with the crate in mind.It seems it does not pay to go for the crates if your on your own.And one map with a chopper in conquest mode and only two maps with tanks.I loved modern combat and most people who paid good money for Bad Company were expecting the same or some thing like it.Seems like the game is full of kids who dont have a clue now the new xbox generation i guess.And no forum or set up for like minded players to play against each other.Just seems to me that for all the good ideas in bad company its forgot its roots and what made it work in the past. Think they want to dumb the game down in a hope of more sales iam changeing me gamer tag to Forest Gump and just blow things up from now on

BFBC = I don't know if your completely aware of the problem I'm guessing from your response you ain't got a clue, but anyway here it is...

When the game disconnects your coms it disconnects them completely (even from the xmb making a xmb chat impossible). No other game dose this & thats the problem that EA & Sony say they are working on together but WEE DONT BELIEVE them DO WEE.

Well i'm sure EA don't care if a simple gamer like myself have a problem with one of their products, but this is a problem that really needs to be looked into.

I live in europe (Sweden) and the lag we are getting when playing BF:BC online is really bad, for example when i start walking forward and then release the stick i should stop moving, but no i start walking backwards a couple of feet.. another example, sometimes you cant walk through doors jump over fences etc, you end up trying to walk through the wall since the delay is just HORRIBLE!!!!

This is just a couple of ALL the issues we have when playing bf:bc online, and please do not respond "Well uh it's your connection" NO it's not i have 8mbit down and 1mbit up and a good response time that works perfect in other games..

Will EA take their responsibility? i hope so but look at BF:MC... still very laggy and choppy gameplay.


//a dissapointed gamer that loves bf:bc but cant play very well due to very unstable and laggy servers, please fix this..

(sorry for poor eng)

Couldn't agree more with tecks last statement - its a great game but bugs destroy it. If Dice dont sort it out soon, then alot of players will be moving across to Far Cry, Fallout etc in no time

ANd what about REPORT to DICE/EA that COMUNITY is important..we need the patch at last for FIX TEAM-CHAT problems and some CLAN SUPPORT or this game wil die when SOCOM will come out.

BEST EXEMPLE ...WARHAWK..it s a year old game but they have made a lot of addons,PATCHES,new contents and stuff. that is what GAMERS want in the 21th century.

i loved this game when it came out...now im thinking of getting cod 4 cause at least in the beta of that game i was able to see enemy, shoot enemy, they died.

instead of see enemy, fire a burst into their head and hear tink tink tink as the rounds bounce of the invisible bullet proof helmet.
or
see enemy, fire a 40mm grenade into their face and watch as they run through the blast and stab me!
