Hi Goodman, I hope E.A and Dice can sort out all the issues that people have with the game.

I absolutely love this game and have spent many hours playing, but I have an issue that has become very frustrating. My problem is that I have some people on my friends list who are unable to join my squad and I’m unable to join theirs. I can join some other friends so it’s not a problem with all my friends just some. I hope there is a possible solution to this because as I have said it very frustrating.

Also is there any official word on the Conquest mode update (release date/progress).

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

I have feedback: I loved your singleplayer. The campaign was a masterpiece. But, in accordance with your STRANGE policies, I can't play it online because I'm not 18. It doesn't say this on the box. Please just use microsofts parental guidance stuff... you don't NEED your own. Microsoft can handle it, every other publisher trusts them.. have you got any particular reason for your online policy? I mean, come on. I can play GTA4 online, (BBFC18!)But I can't play a PEGI16 game...? I was really looking forward to open battlefields, I was growing tired of CoD's rather stale "Take the house, get cleared out by a single grenade, respawn, get spawnsniped, respawn, get hit by an airstrike immediately, lag out of the server" gameplay...

i can't believe ..in the year 2008 ..we can't have a decent game with a global chat.

AND..add Clan options+ private (UNRANKED) rooms ...we really really need that..MANY CLANS are waiting, comon.

How about getting some UK only servers? The lag is a joke with the other dial up Europeans! We have paid £39.99 of our hard earned and that fee should go to servers not in your pockets!

They need to make footsteps louder as well and the hit indicator seems to be broken ? i get hit from behind the arrow flashes infront
two more points. I'm fed up with the spawn locations. today i was in a team of 4 attackers in the enermy base some defender gets lucky spawns right behind us and wastes all. this happens so many times just makes me wana turn the game off.
And on the prevoius post i mentioned the lack of noise a player makes. Well further to that people dont seem to make a sound useing ladders either.
Oh and please add the ability to mute people.yet more problems: at times it can be impossible to get your aim on target.
also the weapon damage seems to be bugged for example yesterday i stuck my ns2000 in some guys back and pulled the trigger he didnt die and turned to me so i shot him again he then laughed and killed me. i go straght back to him after respawning and the same happens again!
'the last problem i can think of is this example: i shot a tank twice with my rocket launcher but someon else got the killing blow and i didnt get any assist points. Ive had this problem useing nearly every gun weather im shooting at cars/tanks or just people.

I given all the bugs/problems ive pointed out in the last three posts i either you guys had REALLY BAD beta testers or you just didnt give a **** about finishing your game. either way its not on really.

All profanity aside I gotta agree with these guys... how am I or anyone else supposed to convince 7 mates to buy this game cos its a huge step up from COD4 except for the fact that i'll only be able to talk to 3 of em and they prob wont even be on my team for the first round??!

We need:
Team Chat
Clan Support for more than 4
More evn balance between attacking & defending teams
A proper fix for the clan split in round one

Nothing new i know but if it takes a certain amt of people to whine about something before you make any changes then count me in!

Apart from that I dont really care about stats padding ????('cept its nice to know the companies who made the game are bothered enough to do something about em) or new game modes as the one you got is pretty much bob on

As to those who think campers/team killers should get banned - snipers will always exist & artillery mistakes will always happen! least its not real life

Okay, so I understand the pressure EA/Dice are under to release games by certain deadlines... but I really wish you'd release games to please the gamers, rather than the shareholders. It's such a pity because the games get released when they are clearly unfinished, or rushed through development. Either that or you use the most incompetent beta testers who clearly have no idea how to communicate what it takes to turn a 'good' game into an 'incredible' game... which is a damn shame.

I'm a 37 year old gamer and, along with 5 friends of similar age, purchased BF:BC in the hope that we could enjoy some hard-core multiplayer action, 'pwning n00bs' as they say... but unfortunately, due to all the faults and bad design decisions (already listed in this thread) I am the only one who hasn't yet returned/exchanged (abandoned) the game out of sheer frustration.

I actually did have some constructive points, but this message board didn't have enough space for my text... typical. If you go to 'Battlefield Bad Company' on Facebook... and look in 'Problems with this game' in the discussions section... you'll find plenty of feedback.

One of the best ideas i've seen on this thread is the 'MEDIC!!!' call... I get SO DAMN ANNOYED when you need medical assistance and run up to a Support guy, jumping around, shooting at his feet, trying to get his attention any way you can in order for him to understand that you need a medi-pack... but the guy playing clearly has NO IDEA what his role is, and just stands there, or walks away... you end up shooting him/her out of pure anger!!! Stupid!!!
Use one of the buttons on the D-pad to enable your character to shout 'MEDIC!!!'. This game is filled with so many idiots who clearly have no idea how to play as a team, in any shape or form. Stat padders, spawn campers, rushers... rubbish medics... all idiots.

1. Do you realise how difficult it is to 'just add something' to the game? did you also not realsie everytime something is submitted to microsoft for evaluation in can take up to 3 months to get it cleared AND the charge is £50,000 PER submission?

2. That leaving comms open would result in hearing idiots like you shouting to your teamates on the other side of the map that no relevance to other members miles away?

3. That adding open comms to a 24 player (er how many on cod4 with small maps... oh yes.) game will result in more bandwidth useage, so that gives us..

A. Less players per game
B. More lagg
C. Smaller maps
D. Your choice idiot.

You must be really, really intelligent to call the devs stupid, after all they got your money.

Your one of these cry babies who wants everthing they ask for, probably like your games consol, ohh did mummy buy it for you? Why don't you lalalala or leave the forum, its becoming really tedious reading lalalala from people like you, you don't deserve to play online or post with the majority of people on this forum. Swear all you like, it makes you look even more childish.

Sell the game? you have NOOOOOO intention of selling the game, just be quiet.

Rant over... theres the door.

EA aren't under pressure... they can make **** games (which they do) and know they will sell like hot cakes.

I think the VoIP / comms system needs sorting out to a certain extent, but I there's NO WAY I'd consider having a fully open comms system, where everybody in the team can chat... it gets bad enough with just one or two ranting idiots who can't string a coherent sentence together. The other day I was playing and some guy had a headset, and all you could hear was a baby screaming and crying, and a woman in the background talking and laughing on the telephone... I had to private-message him to get him to turn the damn thing off!

A mute option would be great.

Yes, i agree that they can make **** games... but BF:BC isn't ****... it's just heavily flawed, and could be improved upon... and shouldn't have been released until all the problems were ironed out.

Most big companies are up against targets and deadlines to please shareholders, so surely EA is no exception. If a company doesn't reach quarterly sales figures, the share holders become restless which in turn threatens the value of shares as the market displays a lack of confidence in the company. So, companies push things through knowing that consumers will buy products... this keeps the share value consistent, which draws in more value for the company and gives the shareholders a happy smile on their face, regardless of the quality of the product.

People don't understand how much of an impact this has on the quality of the product. It's not all negative though, but when it comes to big brands like the Battlefield series, that has a HUGE following, we're talking BIG BUCKS.
Look into EA's recent problems with the acquisition of Take-Two... major hassles caused by delays and pumped-up share values.

I'll stick my head on the line here... a bit risky as i signed a Non-Disclosure form, but i don't think it's in breach of confidentiality: I worked at Sony Playstation recently (I'm freelance) and was chatting to a games producer during a cigarette/lunch break. This guy is working on one of the most anticipated games of this year, a game that will blow everybody away... BUT... they are under SO MUCH pressure to get things finished, they are constantly having to justify delays in release dates, and constantly having to find ways of cutting corners... and why? Shareholders... that's why. He explained in detail that the games industry is being ruined because it is such a big money-making business... and big money means lots of greedy people... who, by the way, have never held a game-pad in their hand.

(I'm not referring to the developers when I say that! Coders and designers, producers, artists etc at games companies are worth their weight in gold in my opinion... incredible talents!)

So... Perhaps I'm wrong, perhaps EA/Dice just released a 'nearly perfect' but 'generally flawed' game and failed to predict the frustration and backlash of it's consumer base? Don't get me wrong... I love the game, and i think loving it makes it even more frustrating because it's SO CLOSE to being perfect... But something tells me that it was pushed through the final stages of development, and it's a pity that BF:BC falls victim to this trend as, given a little more time, it could easily have been the most mind-blowing game I ever played. But as it is, it leaves me partly exhilarated, but mostly frustrated... I'll stick with it though, unlike my idiot friends who already exchanged it. I'm sure updates and patches will only make things better... hopefully... unless they're completely blind and ignorant to their fans' requests.

I thought only Bungie added a Mute all option to their already option to mute individuals, solely for Halo3, is it really an entire XBL feature? If so, that's news to me. I hardly use the 360 these days and have been considering canceling XBL.

I enjoyed XBL with Crimson Skies (back with the simply XBL GUI), but can't find users of Crimson Skies most times these days.

PSN certainly has lots of more ground to make up refining the PSN (GUI and features), where 2.41 was a big step in the right direction. If/when the headsets work well on PS3 and a mute option is added. I may get away from my PC gaming again. I agree most headset transmissions on both cosnole networks are from senseless, fargon, iceholes.

Y'all know that on X360 you mute ppl permanently via recent player list & (depending on game..COD4 for example) temporarily via the game mechanism right? dunno bout PS3 fbut from what I've heard most ppl dont even chat on that

Can I just say that I dont want to talk to the online equivalent of a chav, I would like a bigger party system so that I can talk to maybe 8 (?? random figure) ppl on my friends list.. dont know about the work or whats involved, I just would like to know if its' feasible and probable.. no crying - no spitting the dummy out.. had my first laggy game last night in a random squad and we fell about laughing as we all spent a good 3 min trying to storm a house (2 steps fwd, one loooong slide back).. BFBC on ice!!!

Sorry to moan, but... I've got to moan about the damn knives!!!

Okay, so one of the most satisfying feelings in the game is sneaking up behind a dude and slashing his neck, instant kill, the 'ker-chink' of his dog tag etc... brilliant!

BUT! One of the most frustrating things about the game is when you burst into a room, gun blasting (accurately!) and the enemy dude runs towards you, into your stream of bullets which seem to have very little effect, and he kills you with one swipe of his knife! Grrr! It happens very often! Talk about unbalanced.

Consider this... if you approach somebody from behind, or from outside their 'field of vision', you get an instant kill with the knife... if you approach somebody from the front, within their field of vision, it takes 2 swipes to kill with the knife?

Or something along those lines... anything to shift the balance.
