Haha, perhaps . Also some sort of acknowledgement when you run over someone would be nice, similar behaviour to that of your vehicle hitting an obstacle (obviously tanks excluded)

A complete turn around from BF2142. You're right about BF:BC vehicle impact detection to enemy soldiers is way too weak. I'll often use the tank as a lawnmower in the large maps. Clearing out hiding places for the Attacker's approach and our Recon can pick them off. Sometimes there are enemies squatting in the bushes I mow down and don't always get the road kill.

Making a crater in the field by shooting mines with an RPG then squatting in it for cover, I've had an enemy tank go right over the top of me.
Making trenches/crater near buildings can be very interesting and unexpected cover positions too. The mines may no longer damage the gold crate, but they can destroy them metal walls well.

3 things really bugged me on BFBC last night:

1)When alone in a apc I switched to the machine gun, then have to hammer Y to cycle through all the positions to get back to driver slow...or I have to jump out and get back in.
It would be nice to have a way of always getting back to the driver position (like press x, or double tap y)

2)I got within 5 feet of a enemey specialist, I took aim and fired a burst from my MG3 into his head. I hear 5 "tink" sounds as every round bounces off of his bullet proof balaklava!

3)like in GOW2 bullets should slow your enemy. 1 specialist kept charging right at me through heavy fire from my MG, only to stab me in the face because my bullets didnt slow him down.

One thing that does frustrate me somewhat...

Team Balancing - or lack thereof.

I dunno man maybe I'm jinxed, but it seems that the team I'm on
always has more bad players than good - like ones who can play
for 50 minutes and amass a score of -3 and seem to serve as
nothing more than cannon fodder.

I realize we all must begin somewhere and the learning curve is
different for each of us, but the game seems to place 80% of
the rookies on ONE team!

It's like... you know how your skill number changes colour depending
on how well you're doing? One team is mostly green, but the other team
has like 7 guys in the red who don't help whatsoever, dying 30-odd
times per match - so it feels like you're outnumbered 3-1...

The server should balance teams by way of trend, so that both sides
have equal or near equal proportions of Green, Yellow and Red
players.

I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm moaning - having a lalalala day and my
******* head is killing me.

This happened after using laser designator with recon, it would not exit this black screen no matter what I tried to do. The only solution to stay in the game was to select suicide from the menu . Also it can go to black screen when you respawn, it shows you sqad member then bang - black. It then goes to normal after you spawn. Don't remember this happening before TBH.

last night i jumped ontop of an enemy tank, i dropped a mine right on the turret and it passed through the tank and ended up on the floor.
i jumped off and watched as the tank just drove away and didnt detonate the mine.
possible hit detection bug?

As assualt class I saw 2 guys crouched side by side (shoulders touching). I fired a grenade launcher round into the middle of them and it detonated, taking them both down to only half health. they then pwned me.
Grenade launcher rounds should be 1hit kill with a direct hit!

The rockets on the helicopter need to be more powerful. I can plow several missiles straight at some guy standing by some trees, and they miss him by about a metre, yet he don't die or get hurt, he proceeds to shoot me down.

The Red Dot system is not a good replacement for team chat. I'm guessing it's put in place to reduce bandwidth for the destructible environment, but the gameplay has borne out that it is too unfair to the targeted individual to have a red dot on his head. BF2:MC had it best - when you're boresighted in on an enemy, you get a red triangle, otherwise - nothing. Blue force tracking should stay the same - that's realistic and in use on today's battlefield.

Bring the A-10 to the Close-Air support role it was designed for. You can make it out of balsa wood if you have to, or bring back GTAMs. Keep the controls the same as the helicopters now.

Speaking of controls, is there a way to let the players map their console buttons and analog sticks in a custom manner? I can really only fly the choppers well in this particular game because the controls just happen to be the same as in real aircraft. Lucky serendipity there.

Let me eject/jump out of a damaged aircraft. I've successfully landed a severely damaged Apache several times and should've been able to walk away. But because some lucky noob got all his UMP rounds in, he gets credit for a kill? No way.

Team Chat - of course

Clan Support - Of course

Command Center, or an Arty like BF2:MC where you could be a commander with global SA as long as nobody got to you.

Vary the spawn times for vehicles. Don't make the choppers/tanks spawn at the exact same amount of time, each time. Guys are timing their attacks and having ordnance on the way based on expected spawns. A random number generator inserted into the code might work.

Bring back the coast-after-dismount the vehicles had in BF2:MC. This time, however, incur a health penalty for bailing out at high speed to even things out a little.

Ten mines per Demo, and they last for at least five minutes after the Demo dies.

Parachutes as a gadget, ie. give up a capability (mortar, laser, etc.) for the ability to use the nylon recovery.

Mute capability in a speed-dial fashion. I know I wanted team chat, but there will always be at least that 10% that will require muting. The faster we can get these children quiet, the better. When I bring up the scoreboard, select the offender, and mute away. Same for a team killer - vote to kick using quick look up.

I think the only thing that should be added in is an anti hacking system. Im sitting on a crane, sniping, and i spot an enemy sitting in one spot shooting in one direction, bullets are flying around him hitting everyone on my team with 100% accuracy - someone came up behind him and the bulletlalalala the guy and the hacker got credit for the kill, and I agree with Torc55, you are making a lucky escape - and some noob hits you once (most often a hacker that getlalalala kills with a pistol when you can hardly hit them with a sniper) and kills you. Players should be awarded points based on the percentage of damage they did in the role of killing an enemy, i really hate when you nearly kill a group of enemys and some1 on your team hits each person at the right time and takes almost all the points. (I just about smashed my xbox and my BF:BC about 2 mins ago because of the hackers (mostly accuracy hacks) but also because of how weapons do the same damage point blank as they do from across the map and specifically how you can never shoot just after sprinting and that has killed me hundreds of times (and throw in a little lag and its pathetic) often someone will hit me 1 time and ill die when i had 100 health, and they killed me with a pistol and after you sprint you pull out your gun and you start shoooting someone but it took too long to pull out your gun so they saw you, they turn, you get hit once and your dead. The lag, hackers, and everything i mentioned (i did forget to mention all the graphics glitch - chech youtube soon, i made a video, 8 graphic glitched in 14 seconds - it happens when you scope with a sniper and other times) make it nearly impossible to play the game at all. Other than that, the game is amazing (i just really wished there were still parachutes, those were fun and helpful)

I would just like to say 2 things.

1.thank you for such a good game, and a wonderful update.
2. I think that it would be cool in the next update, if there was an option to customize a character. You could pick what they looked like, and pick which specific weapons that person would carry. Like for example, I could outfit a guy with a sniper, a rocket launcher, and C4. That would be really sweet. Maybe you could take it into consideration?????

This is a very good game that does not need too much changing really. a lot of feedback comes along the lines of make my favourite gun/vehicle more powerful so I can pawn like I used to on another title. There also seems to be complaints over things where it is due to 'recognition' where what you see is not what the server sees, this will always happen on online multiplayer games and while it is extremely frustrating (busted a mouse last year because of the rage) it has to be expected. This might be improved slightly if there was the ability to select servers which I feel is the area many long term players of the franchise have felt frustrated with. This means that you are playing with people from around the world which can be good sometimes but, and I am not tech enough to really know,but has to cause some latency issues and recog problems.Secondly the overseas players unless you have filled your squad from your friends list sometimes dont speak your language so the forced teamplay that this game induces sometimes you are listening to a squad of people that you dont understand or dont understand you. Turning the volume down can stop the clatter but it also stops you from hearing the sound of footsteps,grenades or ricocheting bullets that sometimes can mean the difference between staying alive or choosing your next respawn point. Thirdly this means having to play a roster of maps. I am sure as evidenced for example on BF2 with strike at karkand where 64 people would be on constantly playing the same map happily for hours. This may not be able to be added to this game but I hope you don't forget to add it to any more of your titles as it was definitely a much loved feature of the franchise by many.
The other point of frustration is over the wildcards.(badges and patches are hard but ok) I am sure that it is possible for a handful of people to obtain every wildcard through normal play due to their skill, although the jury is still out on the best squad one where most are saying it is glitched. However I feel and I am not alone in this, that the high values set for some of these wildcards leads to boosting and worse. Aswell they are frustrating when you are trying to acheive them in the helicopter and the game freezes or doesn't register the kills as is with the Mi28(take this as a warning do not go for chopper chopper in the Mi28 as I did last night-damn)
12 grenades is my max so far after a week of trying-this might be possible but if i get it, it will be a fluke, it feels like trying to play basketball on a minefield
5 helis in a round last night but 3 in the Mi28 so back to the drawing board,
37 kills is my best round I remember about 2 weeks ago since then a few mid 20s is about it-
5 in 2 sec is acheivable, a mate says he fluked it with a c4 trail but I have doubts I will be that lucky
20 headshots will be tough for me but I am sure there are people good enough to do this without boosting
50 saviour badges- had 1 before patch now only up to 5 although have been going for other things so it could be possible for me
20 squad spawns on me was the most frustrating 4 days I ever had although I did the stupidest victory dance when I got it
I have been a proud non leet player to get the amount of awards I have so far through persistance and sometimes patience. They have made me try to
change standard ways that I would normally go about things and adapt and learn is a core element to this game. BUT the trophy system new to PS3 and apparently on xbox for a while now means that most people want attainable trophies for them not just a small few, who have the leaderboards, if they really are the leet, to stand tall from.

Congratulations and THANK YOU so much for a great game!


I haven't played in a few long months due to problems with my health but now I'm recovered and I just can't wait to throw myself into the action again. I noticed the release of the new update with new maps and other enhancements which certainly got me even more excited.

During the winter and it's cold, dark nights what else do you really need besides this wonderful game, Christmas? LOL There will be no X-mas...Santa is out collecting dog tags

I really enjoyed this games set up and playing modes. What I cant stand is the big orange dot on my head while playing the game. The other thing i cant' stand is the mics wont work but for a few seconds into the round. if they would fix these issues than it would probrobly be one of my favs.

I do really love this game.
It's one of my favorits. (But hey, you can't play 24/7 this game)
Anyhow chances I would LOVE to see;
- More maps (I preffer Premium.. I'm willing to support this game!)
- More guns (FREE or Premium, doesn't matter)

this is a nasty, bad a game, just awesome. now, when are you guys going to have xbox vs ps3 servers, or have all game platforms united? If you just have the codes go in and conform to a unified code and then back outin the original code it should work right? oh yeah get the bigwigs of the platforms to say yes. it would be awesome, and will there be any 100 players maps and servers avaible soon, like in reall wars. also i am a veteran of the us army and the m203 you have doesnt have a large enough and powerful enough blast zone. 0-10meters = instant death, 10- 20 = massive wounding, after that it doesnt do that much damage. what about knowckdown? i know when you get by a bullet(even with body armor on) you get knocked back and mostly to the ground. that would be cool. other wise you guys did a hell of a job, patton would be addicted.

Are there going to be any future fixes for team recognition. There are several times that I have killed a team member or shot a team member because there wasn't any blue recognition marking and there has been times that I have been killed by someone without any red markers and I have been killed by one that had a blue label marker but when it said who killed me, they were enemy.
Last spawning on a team member and getting killed at moment of spawn or in base and by someone camping. Is there a way to make a fix that allows for spawning to be at spawn point away from enemy campers.

DICE still has not fixed the conquest map matching issue.

Also, adding the new maps to Gold Rush would be fantastic. And maybe some new weapons.

I agree with this. So many times I've come 1 on 1 with an enemy and fired my grenade launcher right at his feet only for him to have 10% health left and then kill me before I can get back to primary firing.

The bugged Wildcards/Patches/Trophies fixed asap. My profile tells me at the moment that I have:

Avenger Trophy - Received: 25/11/2008 10:06 - Times Received: 2
Bronze Avenger Patch - Not Received (when selected the '3 Avenger Trophies' bar is filled in 2/3rds of the way.
Avenger - Received: 25/11/2008 11:36 (Requires 50 Avenger Trophies)

Now maybe I'm being simple and missing something really obvious, but that shouldn't be possible from the way I see it.

I'm sure I have a lot more than 2 Avenger Trophies but they don't update. If they don't update then I can't receive the Bronze Avenger Patch... Hence I can't receive the Silver or Gold edition of this patch. Which in turn means I can never receive the I am Bad Company PS3 Trophy and again in turn means I can never receive the Platinum PS3 Trophy for completing all the other Trophies... It's a vicious cycle.

Also I think some of the Wildcards/Patches/Trophies are rather hard to get, such as:
  • IAR: 52 total kills - I think I came close to this one time as I was completely owning in a tank but then my system decided to freeze on me (Boo Hoo )
  • IAR: 20 kills with headshots
  • 50 road kills with Naval Vehicles

I think you miss the point of why there are classes in a game like this. If you were able to customise every Primary and Secondary weapon that your character had everyone would just make whatever is the most over powered.

With different classes being limited to different weapons you have to think about what you're going to need for a certain situation/map and choose your class depending on that.
