Default Multiplayer experience - full game

Hi everyone,

Now that you'll be playing the full version of Battlefield Bad Company, we would really like to ask you again how you are finding the Multiplayer experience on the full game.

In this thread we would really like specific Multiplayer feedback on the full game, not the demo. If you’d like to comment on Singleplayer mode, please do so here:

Singleplayer feedback

Thank you.

What I have seen/heard the last few days is unbelievable.

EA/DICE cancelled the idea of paying for content after protest of the gamers..

But the reaction of the gamers after finding out about:

- No clan support.
- No private room support
- No team speak
- No option to kick a player

The reaction is phenomenal. I have never seen something like that before.
Though I understand this. Most of these gamers played BF:MC, and that game had all of the above points, including more then 1 game modes, and definitely more then 8 maps. So when going to a next-gen platform, you would expect that BF:BC will be double as good as BF:MC.
Though, BF:BC isn't half a game like BF:MC with the lack of the points above.

I have good hopes about EA/DICE announcing an early patch to still include the points above.

Why post this thread now? it is not released until 27th and this is the UK forums not the US. all that will happen is the thread will get spammed

and i would like to give some feedback on the game once the UK lot get it.

I know, I guess they forgot everything when they found out they could make destructible environments.

But can you also answer the questions regarding clan support etc?
Because if this doesn't get clan support etc, I will go kaboom. Which I really really don't like.

I was actually hoping my great sense of humour would have put you off the scent...

I'll try to get back to you folks on some questions; of course, depending on what answers I may provide, you might look back and say you preferred the silence... oO

Why havnt you included full team chat?
I have alot of friends i want to play this with but i wont be able to talk to them because we are only limited to talkin to 3 people, and we cant even choose who them 3 are!?!? Why are we forced into a squad without even letting us choose the members? Why didnt you just let us have full team chat, then if we wanted to make a squad, we could send squad invites to people and if they accept then we only talk to them!

Get back to our questions...This year?
These question have been asked since the demo came out really.

Every question made towards Karl Magnus Troedsson about clan support yet, he gave an answer that doesn't say "yes, it has clan support" nor "No, there is no clan support" Why did he do it this way? Or are you guys being instructed by EA to not tell anything untill everyone buys the game and find out themselves?

Battlefield Modern Combat, had everything people wanted. And yet, DICE/EA manage to come up with a sequel, that has no clan support, no team speak, no option to kick, no option to choose/make server.

I think it's better for both parties if BFMC get's re-released, maybe you could even throw in a few better textures and new maps.
BF:MC, the perfect game.

i think we are all waiting for an answer 1 way or another goodman and any info would be welcome.

my personal opinion is that there will be a hell of a lot of customers who will feel cheated if they buy the game on the ASSUMPTION that something is being done, if they buy and nothing changes i think the future of the bf series would be seriously jepordised.
however if the main points of peoples upset ( i think we know what they are by now lol) arent going to be fixed/patched and we are informed that its a case of "not this time guys" at least we know.

im guessing that your last sentence says it all anyhow?

Is that a hint that we will actually be getting full team chat?

Lets be honest this game was a SP game from the get go, the MP is a tacked on, half lalalalala attempt at recreating the magic of other BF games and failing.

I look forward to the patch which im guessing will be around the time they release the Conquest mode

No he means that he'll come back and give us some more bull ;/ sorry goody hehe!

It may mean that the answer whether clan support will come in a patch or not might be unpleasant for you.

Unluggy

the way i read it its not going to be good news and also how odd that a new patch for bf2 comes out around the same time as all this lot is going off when, correct me if im wrong, bf2 fans were told the there would definetley not be any more patches for bf2 after the last patch.

its all a conspiracy, im off to hide in a cupboard before the bf police come and usher me off to the woods rofl

Well I'm glad there's some response from DICE here compared to the silent official BF:BC forums over at EA.

Just one thing DICE I'd like clarified:

Why did you take out prone?

I know you took it out because of 'balance issues', some fear that the sniper would be invisible. Taking it out of the game entirely means we can't hug the ground completely if we hop into a crater or duck behind ruined buildings that have walls blown out. We just seem to be more at the mercy of snipers than ever.

I'd like to cite Call of Duty 4 where snipers wear gillie suits and go prone, yet they can still be killed pretty easily, and are NOT invisible. Muzzle flashes give them away of course and it's simple to fire a grenade launcher, rocket, or even use a vehicle against them in this game (provided they don't paint you with their laser). I would happily purchase your game if prone was included in the Conquest patch. I just feel your reasons for taking prone out are...well, insufficient.

Where'd they announce that? I hope it won't happen either. Enemy Territory: Quake Wars was an epic fail for a ported game for the 360 and PS3. And even the PS3 guys got more features for the game than us 360 guys. I returned it in a week.
