Lol 1943 hasn't been patched yet...

Nope. BC2 will be released in its current form.

They lock threads, and tell people to play nice. Most likely its their stance to provide no information on the development process.

I would reserve judgement for the demo. Personally I will download the demo see if they fixed the issues that bother me (recon, kits, prox mines etc..) and if not I just wont buy the game.

I agree. I wont buy the game if a lot of things will not change on the demo. I think that if DICE will not change a minimum of items that appear on this poll with 40% of votes, nobody would be buy the game.

The Final POLL

Default why even open beta

Wow how lame, looks like a sales gimmick to sell more PS3 copies.

After all the direct dev interaction with the MAG Beta, I guess Im spoiled but, they should addreess the communty @least bi-weekly.

Otherwise alot of testers will not return.

Why even open to the public?

there are at least two members of the development team who've been replying in threads here. i think it's best if u guys look up their replies, coz it doesnt seem they would reply threads like this.

if u're feeling extra helpful, maybe u could collect their statements and put it in a special thread?

1. No they don't lock threads. EA mods do that not DICE.

2. Since when was this a demo? Demo isn't out till next year......

The ticker at the bottom on the main screen says "thanks for all your feedback, keep it coming. We are working hard to fullfill your wishes."

and P.S. DICE, I love BFBC2 and will already buy it even if you don't change a thing. Keep Battlefield Battlefield!

I know this forum isn't always civilized and respectful but it would be nice if Dice gave more feedback to the beta testers.

You guys have actually posted quite a bit in the forums to random things. People just haven't took notice.

Indeed. There's actually been an awful lot of dev response, by some who don't usually post too.

Such is the way of not having a 'marker' for a thread that when hit, links you to a dev comment. Obviously, it's swings and roundabouts; a thread with a dev marker can sometimes garner more attention that it should with people going "plz reply to X, Y and Z!!!" even though it's not related.

What would be cool is when the demo hits, DICE are able to provide some sort of comparison chart, detailing what they've changed from the beta. That may be too much and some of it would undoubtedly be too technical for most of us to even grasp, so some flexibility would obviously be prudent. I would imagine many 360 gamers (and to a lesser extent PC gamers who obviously won't be betaing for a bit) who frequent the forums (such as my self) know what went into the beta and have been following it.

Obviously, that's entirely up to DICE. I would imagine though they have a build comparison list. Something like that could surely be pruned and published on here?
(Especially if we suggested a large delivery of muffins could be sent your way...)

A few things I should point out.

#1 there will be NO patch updates to the beta. You will see some gun balance changes and a few other things they can tweak server side, but all client side updates won't be seen until the demo next year... THEY ARE WORKING ON IT THOUGH. Confirmed changes include (but not limited to): Adding more Obj points, fixing ATM hit reg, Color saturation, weapon icons instead of names when plaer kills player, i forget what else....

#2 They have replied a # of times in a number of threads.... I should know, I read a ton of them

#3 they have better things to do then quibble with users. They will read your feedback, and reply when they feel it's warranted, but generally, all they need is feedback and work with it. They don't even need to log in to read it, so why should they and attract more posts demanding this, explanations for that, etc.

Different console will have a different impact. This will be the first demonstration of Frostbite on the PC. Expect a lot of problems.

Yah, why do you think 1943 got so delayed? Actually, I think partially they were waiting on Win7 + Dx11... but also just issues with frostbite on PC was the main cause.

New gaming engine first time on PC.... oh yes, there will be bugs.

Look at BFBC1 on 360.... and that was with only having to keep a single (well 2) hardware configurations in mind.

I agree. 1943 was undoubtedly pushed back due to performance/engine issues. I still expect BC2 PC adopters will have some sort of purchase advantage in getting 1943.

that poll is a biased pos, nobody should take any notice of it. You shouldn't attach on your hopes and dreams on how much notice ppl pay to your poll

^Wuh he sed

Polls are always biased... people who agree with you are 2-4 times as likely to vote then people who disagree.

I try to write unbiased polls both in phrasing of the question and the phrasing of the choices, yet they are still biased.

Hell, the people your asking only makes up for a minority of the total gamers

You Dice guys could make an offical statement to the situation in beta, but thats asked to much obviously.
You dont give a lalalala what we would like to know. Thank you very much for that.
