Default Still having connection issues after server maint, unable to connect to game server, baza?
I have never been able to connect to a game server... Computer details in signature. I have no router, no firewall, I have verified that the ports BC2 uses are open and communicating... I have verified on another persons computer our ISP is not at fault... I am completely out of ideas as to what else could be the problem?

I was talking to a friend and he suggested maybe I should buy a new NIC card instead of my onboard NIC/LAN ... Although that's more of a last resort as I seriously doubt its an incompatibility with my motherboards onboard network hardware/software. I have gone so far as to re-install Win7 64.

Every other online game works perfectly fine, I can easily max out the game in singleplayer, but I am unable to connect to a game server in multiplayer. I can login extremly quick , browse servers just fine, it just refuses to connect to a game server. I have contacted EA's support but they are no help whatsoever. I don't think it's the normal connection problems as I am unable to connect at all, ever, since the beta.

If you can download and run Wireshark then try to connect to a server. When it fails quit the game and get the log file that Wireshark creates. This should show us where your connection is failing and what IP it is trying to access at the time etc.

I have captured packets going from

Logging in > selecting soldier > clicking join now twice...

Can I post the log file here, or will it reveal compromising information of my username/password?

Interesting. Mine sometimes will, well prob about 60% of the time, i have to drop to "main" and click "login" again - at which point it instantly logs in (no questions) and i can try the server browser to join a game again.

Hi guys , I'm having exactly the same problem described by twistid1. I'm unable to connect to any server. When I try to enter a server, I receive this message: "Connection to the game server has been lost. Please check your network connection and try again."
I disable the firewall, conected my modem directly to my PC ... so no port problems of any sort ... I even disable my antivirus.
I've read that you're receveing the log from wireshark , Baza .So I've downloaded and I'm sending you a PM with the link where you can check it plz ...

ive got the same issue as twisted , actually started a thread on it. doing the wireshark thing in a mo. still no solution. ive tried reformated with a diff OS , windows xp no SP , i can authenticate without the disk but the game dies when the exe starts. so im bak on my main OS awaiting an answer

This does happen to me, too. Sometimes I can join a server after clicking joing from within the server browser but mostly I cannot.
I don't get any popup afterwards joining was not possible, possibly telling me the reason for this. The soldier name stays invisible in any case.

I can connect to some servers I've on my history or favorites list if they are not full.

If I managed to get connected all runs well. Just the server browser makes some troubles.

Haven't played the game a single second yet. Maybe because my internet is a ethernet (college)...
