Updates to the servers now and soon

We are sending out new servers to our providers called "R5". They will be testing them out and changing over the servers by tomorrow evening. This server contains some fixes for the "Connection to the server has been lost" message that a lot of you will have seen.

We are also working on making another new server over the weekend as EA has set up some dedicated front-end boxes just for Battlefield Bad Company 2 which we will update the server to use and should work to improve the stability of connections to EA for everyone.

thank you, how about the issue were i cant play single player...is it some weird thing?

i uninstalled it from steam and dloaded EADM give it a try through that.

The performance issues are still main goal for me, because the game is simply unplayable, still about 30 fps and "fps drop-downs" once every 2 min.

And updating the servers wont help the issue. 5 of my real life friends can't play the game too because of their Dual Core.

Is this going to fix the problem where we cannot connect at all using the browser or play now, also is that a server issue or a client side issue.

Try lowering in game settings, or upgrading your hardware. It get buttery smooth gameplay at high settings, 2x aa, 2x af, and hbao on. That is when I can connect to a server.

Good luck... this game is demanding

That is likely to be solved by the 2nd update when we can make use of the dedicated BFBC2 PC servers.

btw: PC currently has more people playing and are in game servers than both the consoles.

Noticed on Kotaku that this post was taken the wrong way. The PC had more players than either console not more than both consoles combined. You'll need to work to beat both consoles combined effort

Of course! Look at forum activity. Look at BF's history. This game has a loyal following among PC fps gamers and I don't think you disappointed- another excellent addition! Can't wait for a couple patches to smooth things out.

Baza, can you acknowledge the negative mouse acceleration problem? Is there any plans to fix it?

and people say PC gaming is dead, just goes to show you that if a developer releases an excellent game people will buy it and wont pirate it.
all the people i know that own a xbox360 have only 1 original game, everything else they download and burn.

Also hearing EA about this situation and if they werent prepared well enough to handle it would be nice

Great news. PC gaming is far from dead when a real game is made.

As for the server updates, thanks, hopefully it'll help those with problems, thankfully mine has been fine , so far *touch wood*.
