Great to hear the game is doing so good on PC (and consoles as well obviously)... if you make a great game and spend some time on making it top notch, you'll hit the jackpot.

Looking forward to future patches and content! Cheers DICE

Will the game be better if i just went and got the DVD from Game stop instead of EA down loader or steam.

I uninstalled the steam copy and downloaded it through EADM, got error 2229 when trying to install in english but the damn game would install fine in any other language...lalala is that about.

Pretty much all the GSP's have updated to R5, I know we have, so fingers crossed the improvements the DICE team cooked up in this one help the master server stay stable tomorrow

Great job, hopefully everything is working.

Now for other fixes, negative mouse acceleration being one.

Is the negative mouse acceleration on vehicles?
I havent noticed it Whilst being on Foot.

Also Anyone got any news on the veteran servers / Stats?

My M1 Garand is still missing...

this may sound horrible, but if PC is so popular and is putting $$$ into everyone's pockets, why is it getting the shaft with development? Bad browser, no fov slider, dodgy in game menu's.. list goes on. PC gets a back seat with development while the console is good to go. What's your thoughts on this?

I'm talking about negative mouse acceleration while on foot. It's horrible, and I really don't know how people aren't noticing it. I guess most people that aren't noticing it are more of a casual player.

Its obvious. Pc has so many different possible hardware configurations, where console is a stable target to develope for. Its not a big surprise, not a scandal, not unfair, not a big disgrace. Its just the way it is with pc, especially with a release of this caliber. It will be fixed, and in the endthe pc version will be the king (tbh is allready). Console version dont even have a server browser.. or any way to adjust the fov at all.. so be carefull what you wish for. Instead of moaning people should put their time giving constructive criticism and remember the facts when it comes to developing games for pc.

We are also working on making another new server over the weekend as EA has set up some dedicated front-end boxes just for Battlefield Bad Company 2 which we will update the server to use and should work to improve the stability of connections to EA for everyone.
THANK YOU!

Anyone able to play any better after the maintenance?

I just tried, and it keeps giving me constant "Server is full" messages when I try to connect through the browser, and keeps telling me "Connection lost etc etc" when I try to find a game through the Play Now menu...

Also PC had higher numbers of players than Xbox 360 or PS3, not the two combined.

Yeah but you know that's still awesome Baza... you just know it!

I have to admit though. I hate consoles. I used them for years because I couldn't afford a decent PC and I can hardly afford to upgrade one these days (oh this card has a extra piece of plastic lets charge another 300 quid)... but when I played console aka 1 year ago, almost no games had dedicated servers, so every game had 100+ms probably more in the region of a good 150ms-200ms. DLC was always charged... hell I even remember Microsoft refusing to give TF2 Players on Xbox 360 free DLC because they wanted to make money and Valve were trying to dish them out free.

However it does seem this casual stuff has gone to far... if you ask me, casual's are treated like mugs because half of the people haven't the slightest idea of the workings of playing over a network which makes them 100x worse than playing on a PC. Then their is the god awful prices, oh an Xbox's greed fee, as I call it... which is the pointless subscription. I was paying that only to find I would hardly use multiplayer and that I'd still be paying for other stuff any way. Perfect example here would be a DLC hat for your avatar... hmmm £1.50 please. OR something stupid like that.

What's funnier? My 3rd Xbox 360 (This one is an Elite) broke the other day when I first signed on the NEW BC2 forum. I hadn't turned it on in 5 months because I got this new PC in September 09. Took it downstairs hooked it up to the 1080p LG LCD, ahhh looked way better than on this 1680x1050 screen I use for PC... within an hour RROD. It's like it died within the hour or the mobo decomposes if you don't use it as a way of punishing users who don't play it.

Then of course (and this doesn't apply to DICE or BC2)... console users get everything (even if it is considerably more expensive) and now even PC doesn't get Dead Space 2. So sad.

I needed a new PC anyway so it's not all bad. Old PC was 7 years old couldn't even use facebook. I'll be getting the "next" next gen system, and I'll stick to my words with what I said when I was 15. "I won't get a Microsoft console"... I always did prefer Sony, shame I had £280 quid at the time and not enough patience, didn't save for PS3 got Xbox lalalala. I'm moving back to consoles next gen, PC is dying. I hate to admit it but casuals have killed it, not to mention out of the 9 billion people on earth there are not enough European gamers. Oh I also can't afford to keep upgrading this system once every 6 months.

Peace

I can log in, but the server browser remains empty after refreshing. This is so disappointing.
