Default Kick on Connect

Here are a few steps to try to connect to servers:

Uninstall the BC2 BETA
Look in MY Documents for BC2 BETA directory. If it exists delete it.
Look where BC2 BETA was installed, if the BC2 BETA directory remains, delete it.
Try running the game again.

For all the players connecting to servers and being kicked straight away (and pbsetup.exe or manual updating didn't help) then you will be happy to know we are sending out R4 servers to our hosting providers which will hopefully solve this issue.

This is going out to the hosts shortly and then allowing time for them to update you should see connections going back to normal in the next few hours and continuing to spread to all servers during this evening.

Does this address the problem of servers crashing when more people start to connect?

My server got to 32 players yesterday for two minutes, crashed. Go back up to 21 players, crashed. 28, crash, 12, crash. You can play with about 4-8 all night, but that isn't as much fun......

Oh I hope so much that it works after this. Finished single player yesterday and haven't been able to play a single game online cause of kicks.

Thats the most import thing to me is does it fix the server crashing both of my servers when people start to join crash hard and have to be manually restarted, its happening to everyone all over the gsp forums.

This is what I asked.. I too am at gameservers.com and we can't keep the server from crashing when it gets above 12 players.

I don't see anyone, yet, not appreciating their work. I see people, like myself, asking if it addresses the HUGE issue of server crashes. Some of us have invested a lot of time and effort, not to mention money, in an attempt to popularize our servers. I does not help when you get 32 people in your server and it crashes, then 12, 21, 28.. which is what happened to me and my clan last night. So yes, I'm happy they are working on things, but this is a widespread issue and I'd just like to know if its in this new server patch.

We are looking into the server crashing but we are also seeing full servers too, so it is possible to fill a server and remain running. It is a priority fix but it won't be in R4.

No change to server refresh times, that is the server load of players getting server lists.

Different server. The browser is done from EA servers. The connection problem is the game server.

Is the load also the reason why the ea online connection keeps dropping dead?

Oh brother.. This is what they posted about the server crashing when it starts getting populated at gameservers.com:

1. Players being randomly kicked and server crashes

We have seen cases where a server randomly kicks a player for an unknown reason. We have sent logs to EA/Dice to try and find the root cause of the problem. Restarting the server has shown to help

This has been confirmed as a bug that is currently being worked on by EA/Dice. This issue is happening on all Ranked server providers. We we are all hoping to see a fix come in within the next day or two.

And it might be possible to fill a server for some people, but until someone tells me what I need to do to make that happen, those of us at gameservers.com, at least, can't fill a server for more than a minute or two and quite frankly have only been able to do that once. It crashes at any point after about 12 slots are filled.

Exactly I am with gameservers.com to and both my servers crashe all day, so if there is a way to keep a server full please share that info otherwise please make it a priority to fix, we need our servers to be stable. I know!!! we need we need I just think having stable servers is important especially for the amount we are paying for them!

This really frustrates me to have a full server and then it crashes....

Call me the Nostradamus of gaming !! Baza, can you guys outsource the connection issue to some person or other company ? ...or is that how it became so bad to begin with ?

I do appreciate the work and he DID say it was a priority fix. I'm just worried that all our work to try to have a popular server on day 1 will be hosed and we'll never get 32 in there again.. It worries me greatly.

Yall act like they fixed it lol He just said "working on it" and "looking into it"... keep in mind, they are still "looking into" why the beta gave this error to a ton of us all the time :

Wait until the issue is fixed before you start clapping and chanting praises to them.

As I always say to everyone about just about everything.. "Don't tell me, SHOW me"

The servers may run for a while when full but seem to crash. We ran for an hour yesterday with 32 out of 32 and then down it went.

I too am with Game Servers.

Hopefully this is a top priority issue!

Count me in too with the issue but keep in mind I've read about this happening at MyIS and Wolf too so I don't think we can pin it on Gameservers just yet.
