White Pass Rush - Defense (normal mode)
I almost always run straight over to the left side hill behind the construction. There is a little ledge behind the trees that allows you to view the left turret and some of the left spawn area. I throw an ammo pack down and have a seat on it. Then it's just a matter of throwing grenades at the 50 cal area and dropping anyone there or any snipers on the main hill/UAV. Making sure you can kill the UAV driver is key because once the kids know that they are shut down, they will start prepping the UAV with C4 to blow the crates. Once they learn that the left side it shut down they start going down the right (their left) and meet the guys sitting along the brick wall and in the containers. Because White pass's bases are is the destructible type after the first one, it is imperative to win the match on the first base. Otherwise they will just knock the buildings down at later bases. |

Hey Gamers ;D
My tip is quite simple. You should use the AN-90 with a adopted shotgun, which is very easy to handle in the houses on the map. Furtheron you should have min. one medic in your squad, because he will me the one who'll revive you and if you move strictly togehter you will earn many points for kills too. cya TimTimONE

Issue Orders and Follow Them, Spotting Often
Issuing and following orders is the best way for a squad to work together (specially since VOIP is broken) and also results in more points scored. I find that people don't know they can point to the points and press Q to issue an order. Spotting is very important when playing as a Squad since it gives your squad mates a greater line of sight via the mini map. This because everyone is not always looking in the same direction and different sides of the map could be spotted. Spotting is as important as shooting in this game so if you shoot...spot! So working together as a squad and following orders along with spotting often is the most enjoyable way to play the game and makes for fast paced action. |

White Pass -Rush (def)
Main rule as defenders on white pass is to never loose the first base if you do so you have lost because the other team will just turn all the other m-com sites to dust with a collapsed building atop of it. Second: make sure to have aprox 2 recons on top of the big building and 1 assault to throw ammo make the recons throw motion sensors all the time, spotting and pick off people who run around in the wooden area just in front of the building from then on its quite simple just defend main building shoot ppl when they try to rush and always keep a eye on the m-coms (so nubs with c4 dont ruin the game) and a eye on the mini-map (wich should hopefully always be lit up with motion sensers and enemy movement) and remember never ever never to loose the first base because if that happends = game over |

Mostly concentrating on the attacking teams... defense: just do the opposite.
2) Laguna Presa Rush When attacking the first base one of the best strategies is to approach as quietly as possible, blasting up to the shore in an Attack Boat is a sure was to get exterminated. Land on the peninsula and sneak through the bushes to the M-Com stations, they'll never see you coming. On the second base, attacking along the water's edge is your best bet, as it is out of view to most of the defensive positions and allows quick access to the nearest M-Com. Additionally, sneaking past the waterfall can be very destructive to defense. On the third base, do no deny the power of smoke grenades. With the power of the M3A3, you can suppress the defenses and move up the left pathway. On the fourth base, attack as quick as possible to the right M-Com, and attack the left M-Com from the cliff. The defense tends to hang back across the water, use this to your advantage. The last base is best taken with an attack from the left side hills or a quick run across the water to the storage containers on the right. 3) Nelson Bay Squad Deathmatch A great tactic to experiment with this level is the fortress technique. The first step is to move into the large building that holds one of the last M-Coms in the Rush mode. From there you can make the building your own little Alamo, as the other teams will often gain some kind of vendetta against your team and just want to attack constantly. The best load out is to have two medics, a recon, and an assault. Give one of the medics a shotgun and have him watch the back door. Have the second medic wield an LMG and patrol the windows. The recon can also watch the windows and throw out a motion sensor when attackers are suspected to be sneaking around. The assault needs to supply the rest of the team, and using the 40mm Shotgun with the extra grenades perk helps to watch the front door. 5) White Pass Rush The single most important fact of this map is the nature of the first base: it is a genuine fortress. For attackers the only hope is to grab your C4 and run along the very edge of the map, along the cliff until you're behind the base. Do your best to move it and sap the M-Com crates, as a charge will only result in 12 angry soldiers turning you into red paste the second the alarm sounds. Defense needs to do their best to keep them from even breaking in. Snipers should not use the roof, as they'll usually get their head shot off in moments. Roof patrol should be left to the assault with his rifle (an AN-94 or M16), to drop enemies that run across the road into the base. Also, it wouldn't hurt to watch your backside of the base. The next two bases are fairly simple as the approaches are well covered. The fighting will need to go room to room, so defense should grab the shotguns and the LMGs. 6) Panama Canal Squad Deathmatch On this map it is advisable to grab a dynamic weapon, as many fights will either come face to face within the larger buildings, or at long ranges across large expanses. So, arm up with an assault rifle or an LMG. Using only iron-sights may be a good option on this map. A valid tactic on this map is the Alamo tactic by taking over the only defensible position on the map: The “C Flag” building (the largest building next to the destroyed train yard). On this map it happens to be a very popular crossroads, with many fights occurring in or around it. So it is within your best interests to turn it into your own squad lair where enemies enter... but don't exit. Last edited by Zerstorer23; 30-08-2010 at 04:25 PM. |

Actually I think the best tip, or well the most significant thing I have done or thought about while playing BFBC2 is my keyboard / mouse setup. It's the small things that means the most, specifically that the most used functions are at easy to reach positions and that you know your configuration in-and-out.
1st - Mouse button tweak Instead of having weapons mapped to different (and sometimes hard to reach in the heat of the fire) numeric buttons, I have remapped my primary and secondary weapon to the mouses forward and backward buttons (those placed on the left side, right where your thumb is). Thus I can always quick switch to either when needed. Especially effective for the Recon class, when an enemy comes too close and you need your MP-412 REX to do a quick headshot and save your skin. 2nd - Gamepad My second most significant tweak is the usage of a dedicated gamepad (specifically the Logitech G13). This gives maximum comfort and allows you to push your QWERTY to the side, thus giving more room for positioning your gamepad and mouse optimal. Actually I find it better to have my hands closer to each other, more ergonomic and allows for a bigger mouse pad. Another advantage of the gamepad is the maximum customizability it gives, you have a large amount of macro keys, more than enough for all actions in BFBC2, and you can thus with time find the optimal setup for your game style. It forces you to think about what you want where, and why. It's a bit of a steep introduction curve, but the payoff is large. 3rd - Mouse pad, bigger IS better My third "tweak" if you can call it that, is that the gamepad allows me to use the ridiculous sized game pads (somewhere between an A4 and A3 sized pad). If you, like me, like a 1-to-1 pixel mapped mouse (i.e. no acceleration), high DPS and low sensitivity, a big pad makes all the difference in the quick 180-degree-and-shoot situations, you need optimal aiming space even when doing a quick 180 move or similar (there is often not enough time to pick up the mouse and reset it's position). This way, you will also train your muscle memory, so that you over time can do near pixel perfect moves. Now I do also have a lot of tips regarding each kit, but there are so many (each for specific situations, type of players on your team/squad and enemy team, etc.) and most are specifically optimal for my personal strengths and weaknesses, that it makes more sense to learn them yourself over time. There is no reason in trying to overcome setup problems with in-game skills, when you can customize your setup to your exact needs and let your in-game skills shine. ;-) |

When I'm attacking I go around the enemy base, running from cover to cover. Then I wait in the back for my squad to spawn on me.
Then either go for the mcom or just run around shooting people so my team will have less resistance when moving up. But usually I just run around like a madman shooting everything in sight. |

Port Valdez Conquest
The key to winning Valdez CQ is holding B. Due to the linearity of the map everyone has to pass through this area. Holding B means you have a better protection of the flag between B and your Home Base, and if you hold two flags you can slowly bleed out the enemy tickets. B also has the Anti Aircraft gun so you can shoot down the enemy chopper, giving your own chopper clear skies to reign terror upon your enemy. Select the Engineer kit, with extra explosives and Anti-Tank mines. Place mines in pairs, preferably at the entrance to the B base and another set near the flag. Keep the last two to replace any mines that detonate. Due to the linearity of the map the tanks can only come from one direction (assuming you hold the at least one more flag) and the mines will deal with them easily. Mop up any infantry left. If you die before the mines detonate, switch to a RPG or AT-4. The mines will stay on the ground until they detonate or are replaced by your new mines.

White pass - Rush
Choose assault with smoke and bodyarmour. And for vehicle slot, smoke screen. Effective when stealing enemytank (not on this map tho .1.set As you attack on first set of bombs find squad with medics in it, you really dont need snipers on this tactic. Get your squad together and try to keep medics couple feets behind you. (no need to kill everyone on same nade.) As you make your way to the bombs lay smoke on building where bombs are in. That way you block enemy sniper view and possible cg players. Try to cover whole building from top to bottom. First try to be fast use right side and use unfinnished building as cover. Get in the woods and find spot where you can shoot smoke, around minute. Now whole building should look like big pile of smoke. This makes easyer to team members to get near building and start close combat. This is your time to move get to stairs behind 'bomb-building' and on this lenght use smoke allso cover your tracks so that enemy cant see your movement. If all goes well your squad is on secondfloor bomb without anyone been noticed and on full health. If members of your squad are dead lay smoke on bomb room and wait respawn. Because this is small room its better to smoke the whole place. Plant bomb. Lay more smoke and keep eye on bomb. Same method to bomb on first floor. 2.set Lay smoke screen, wide as you can in front of bomb buildings. Point here is to minimize ticket loss and let engineers to get buildings down. Everytime enemy tries to attack they emerge from smoke and gets killed pretty fast. Keep smokescreen tight and wide and around 30m in front of your team. So that everyone can shoot if attack comes. 3.set Use left side lay smoke between bomb houses and just littlebit on right side of farm house. Keep doing this all the time. This allows engineers to safely shoot down bomb house behind and your own team to attack on farm. Stay safe be on good spot to give great spawn if squad dies. Hopefully team plants bomb and stays safe side of house to get some cover from walls and safely be able to defend untill bomb goes off. On every bomb you can allso fast attack. Lay smoke only to cover your way to bomb. It would be better to keep close combat sniper on squad to lay motionballs on smoke. Always knife if you can. Reload is killer. If you get shot at and dont know where attacker is just smoke your feet and try to get cover. Note that smokescreen too close own troops is bad. You dont want to blind own army. Allso smoke allso gets rid of spots so use it if youre sure you are spotted. Defending Defending is prettymuch same. Keep enemy blinded by smoke as best as you can. And attack, Defenders dont have tickets so frag. And hit k and let your team to know defending front of the bombs is way better style. Keep smokescreen up and spot attackers when they try to make run for the bomb. If Bomb gets planted fast attack on bomb and lay smoke on bomb to cover disarm. wauweli Last edited by vauvelix; 30-08-2010 at 06:12 PM. |

First of all, learn to use pistols effectively, if you tap continously with Grach(MP443) or M9 you should be able to kill whomever at whatever range.
On Laguna Alta CQ: Try to grab an ATV and drive towards [A]. If you are on US, try to make a crazy jump from the cliff to a roof and drive straight into the cap zone. If on RU, just drive into cap zone. When in the cap zone, go into the barn and hide in a corner. Don't shoot anyone that hasn't seen you, but spot them. When you have capped [A], you should perferrably defend it untill people lose interest in the flag. If you have explosives go to the second floor of the L building and blow a way to the roof, then move around a bit to avoid getting hit by a marksman. When people lose interest, either go to [B] or [C]. Let's say your team already got [C]. On [B] you have three ways to enter the flag: 1. From [C] 2. From RU spawn road 3. Middle Going in the middle hill is usually your best go. Toss a grenade into the "chicken farm" that the metal plates fence in. If you hear an enemy soldier screaming, beware. If no enemy soldier screams, be even more wary. Cap the flag either alone with a good spot to hide or with some army buddies and jump around like some crazy person. After you have capped [B] you should always check the houses above the flag. For [C], try to either sneak past right through main entrance or go the predictable back road. People always go through the back door, thus removing the purpose of trying to sneak through there. If you're a squad of four, try to have two check the upper floors and two capture the flag below. Oh and try not to get used to AN-94 or M60, because they might be powerful, but they aren't the most reliable of weapons. M416 w/marksman training and XM8 LMG w/magnum are better choices. |

Port Valdez Conquest
RUS -side a) Rush to flag B as soon as the round starts b) man the AA to supress the hostile heli c) camp the chokepoint betwen B and C to keep the US from counter-attacking d) once A + B are secured and US troops stuck at the chokepoint move along the waterside to flank towards C US-side a) Rush to flag B as soon as the round starts b) man the AA to supress the hostile heli c) camp the chokepoint betwen A and B to keep the RUS from counter-attacking d) once C + B are secured and RUS troops stuck at the chokepoint get a tank or Cav to rush along the waterside road to flank the US troops General tips - like in Rush use 40mm smoke to break through enemy lines when stuck at one of the chokepoints - if B is controlled by the enemy try to work your way to the hillside of B, once additional forces spawn in you can start to flank attack and conquer B back -dont camp unless you want to make sure the hostiles wont break through the chokepoints - always try to flank the enemy, admitedly not much room for that on this map but gives you a better chance to rip their lines |

1) Determine the players on the other team who are better than me and whine in chat that they are hackers.
2) Smoke friendly snipers until they start playing. 3) Suicide with Gustav instead of letting the opposing team kill me 4) Complain that the highest scoring players are lagging 5) make suggestive comments 6) suggest comments to make 7) Complain about the last patch, then complain about the lack of upcoming patches. 8 ) la lllaaaa lalalalal llllaalalalllallallalllla with sheep lalala and lalalalalalla vicks vapo-rub |

I don't have a special tip for certain map, but majorly, people should figure out the switching of squads.
Squads shoudn't be full, like 4 players in one Squad, so you could easily join from Squad to Squad to move in battlefield more efficiently. That how, if other Squad is for example nearer the objective A or B in rush mode, you can just spawn in the middle of action. So you should scroll all the Squads trough to see what Squad has the best position in battlefield. And, this way you can help your teammates as well by moving in battlefield and keeping your Squad open for players so they can spawn near you. And, you should pay attention which one of your Squad members are alive and who aren't. If you see the skull symbol you should wait in a cover as long as your Squad mates could spawn. That's just what I use in BFBC2 and I've seen it pretty useful. |
