So here it is.
The editing is poor and I made the whole Video really quick. YouTube - Battlefied: Bad Company 2 R8/R16 Hitbox-test! YouTube - Bad Company 2 R8 Hit registration (SECOND VIDEO FROM "Deloeks"!!!!) As you can see, the Hitboxes don't get as big as an elephant (you die behind cover more often in R15. in R16 its actually better then prepatch (R12/R7)! So make sure to play on a R16-server at least once and test it there.) And before you hate on this or anything, please do it yourself better. watch in 720p The hitbox technique stays the same, doesn't matter if I am on a server with 32 players or 10 like in the Video. Thank you for the video.I am curious to see what the hitbox whiners are going to say now.
EDIT:Probably they will say ''It's only working for you,blah blah hitboxes are bigger than elephants when enemies shoot me'' |

This is a senseless test, because he is not suffering from the elephant hitbox, do the test on a full server. It was stupid to waste your time. We know, there are the problems.

First off. I think the hitboxes are fine now. I really do.
In the video I was expecting to see more of an enemy crossing in front of you. Situations where you would lead a target in real life, etc. I don't really expect the hitbox to get wider when a person is running straight towards me. You can't tell if the box is lagging behind someone or extending ahead of someone when they're running towards you. In fact most people won't care, since that situation is an easy shot. I would like to see more of the running across scenario, because that's what really counts. This is harder to test, and would take a lot more time to show really close misses, etc. |

I didn't test it myself, but hitboxes are supposed to be elongated in the direction of movemement. From the pre-patch position behind the model up the actual player model. So maybe elephant is the wrong comparison, maybe more like snakes? All this assuming that the patch note actually told the truth.
The test where you run towards the shooter are pretty pointless. Try more from the side and where you can hit a player running or driving a quad bike. |

next video you do ,if you do one, you need to be at farer range and also have the enemy run left to right or right to left, and use mg36 or an assault rifle on full auto, you know spray and pray tactics, then do your zoom in thing and see how many hit markers you get then

I think we're going off track here.
The video may not be a definitive test, but it does clearly put to rest any doubts about the size of the hit box from the front, and goes some way into showing that claims about the hit box being huge when shooting at a moving target from the side may be greatly exaggerated. However, this test can be further improved if more tests are done on shooting a target running across the screen, and shooting a target that is crouching, preferably behind cover. |
