Firstly: Anyone notice if the M60 actually got a proper nerf?
As far as I can see from going in to a server, single shotting with it is still extremely accurate and at close - mid range it still kills in the same number of shots, at a distance I can't find anyone to stand still long enough but I assume they lowered the damage at range. I thought the main issue with the M60 was the fact that if you single shot it it's way too accurate at any range, it seems to be exactly the same as before in that respect. Secondly: If you're in a server with say 2 people and you blow up M-Coms, if the server fills up to 4 players, the round won't restart when the lower limit joins, it will just continue as before with the M-Coms gone already, just you get points from then on. I thought the game may restart or something after people join to get the game going properly. Update: Nerfs noticed so far - M60 takes 6 shots to kill at range instead of 5 M1911 fires slower Gustav and noobtubes splash damage have been reduced If the enemy equips body armour and you land a 40mm grenade at their feet, they won't die, I mean directly under their feet. If the enemy equips body armour and you land a Gustav (with explosive damage spec) next to their feet they won't die, you have to make it directly under their feet. Slugs with pump action guns seem to have to be closer to 1 shot kill someone Same with the M95, 1 shot radius reduced Sniper rifles in Hardcore mode are no longer a 1 shot kill. Buffs so far: M14 and G3 range increase Tracer dart has no red trail and travels faster M93 pistol has been buffed M1 Garand has gotten a tiny damage increase. Long range damage increased to 28 and range increased to 64. LMGs have gotten all kinds of accuracy changes. Last edited by Davuz86; 21-04-2010 at 01:29 PM. |

Seems the same with AoWC. All 3 of our servers are still R9 at the moment...

Question to you who have updated - I can only see that the Client version is named R7 in all discussions, where as older patches had a 6 digit version number instead. How is the R7 displayed on the loading screen? As R7 or the "old way" as a version number, and in that case, what is the version number of R7 so that I can see if Steam have updated my game or not?

I like the fact you can choose the setting for searching servers weather or not you want HC mode. I know all you had to do ws look at the server name but sometimes they were too long to read the HC on the end. Plus the EA server option.

You may hardly ever use it but a lot of players use it like their primary weapons. So blame them for abusing the 40mm grenades and CGs sufficiently to force the devs to do something about it.
Actually, no. Blame DICE for setting assault weapon damage so low that it is more efficient to kill people with40mm grenades and CGs.

I wouldn't care if a 40mm direct hit didn't kill, apart from the smoke, which is always a laugh.
GL should be for clearing obstacles and anyone hidden behind them, not for one shot kills at any range. Use the shotgun mod for that. And no one complained about no splash from AT in BF2, that was an AT weapon and was very difficult to kill with other than a direct hit on infantry. |

I think the real question is that do you guys actually believe that they REALLY balanced anything? Who else here thinks that this is nothing con job from DICE to try to prove to everyone that their game is super balance we all imagining things being OP?
