Default Legacy Control Scheme - Console's

Hey There,

Any chance of implimenting Legacy analog control's for the console's for Battlefield Bad Company 2?

It wasn't in Bad Company 1, which stopped me from purchasing the game. But i'm hoping this will be put in to the sequal. All the major FPS's on both console's have implimented this control scheme, so it seems fairly short sighted to not include it.

Thanks,
km0rz

I never understood why they don't just make it all customizable. I would change a few of the buttons around.

Agree instead of putting stupid names for controller configurations. If I was a game dev. I'll add the option of making your own controller buttons, and modify any key to your liking like a PC keyboard would do.

Demize99 (a dev) or some other employee from DICE already said a while back that they are aware that legacy/southpaw/other control schemes weren't in BC1 and they will be in BC2.

I really hope they put a customizable option, in GoW i hated to select weapons in the d-pad, because somehow i always ended with the wrong weapon, i dont know i pushed a little in the corner or somethin and i know this is more of a user problem but i hated that configuration

I have done that in "Gears" as well I sometimes pull out my pistol when I really wanted my shotgun; custom controller schemes are the best.

I feel your pain, I wouldn't mind custom controls.

That would be great... I wonder if we can get a confirmation on that?

Yeah, more control schemes would be good. I mean, i'd probably never use them, but I know people who would.

A customize controller option for change whatever button you want would ressolve all controller problems.

I mention this in every forum for every shooter known to mankind....................give us the fekn options to pick the controls that we are more comfortable with. Strictly speaking there is nothing wrong with the control layout, the problem is jumping from game to game. Seems an easy fix to me, but no developer ever comes put & says why it can't be implemented in there titles.

All would be better if they included custom controllers buttons, just like a PC keyboard is customizable. Instead of pre set controllers, with stupid names.

Its quite disturbing esp when they portray old hard coded settings as a feature, hardcoded setting are so stoneage in this day and age..

For me the controls they have now work fine. It depends on the player I guess though.
