Best tip evarr, now what's my prize?

Port Valdez Conquest
Hardcore
Ownership of BRAVO will win you the game.

Try and take it right from the start, Helos will battle each other until one is dead and newbs will take the first checkpoint they see. USE THOSE CAV's to rush down to BRAVO CHECKPOINT and take it ASAP!

Protect the bottleneck area, between Bravo and Charlie. Be mindful of the flanking routes.
Russians will tend to flank around the harbour via the water and ladders behind the Gas Storage Silos. Whereas USA will tend to fly (not literally) up the left split (their point of view) towards where MCOM Bravo and the UAV is on rush. These routes are forgotten about so many times and cannot always be seen when positioned at the flag defending.

Use the VADS for some landscaping, make sure “KEY” trees are destroyed giving you a full field of fire whilst blocking line of sight to the gunner. Mainly the trees approaching BRAVO from Russian side up on the slope while leaving the trees in front of the multi-storey blocking snipers view of BRAVO and down the entire road to CHARLIE.

You can also hit WOOKIEHILL from Bravo VADS once you’ve pushed Russians back to spawn supress that area and remove trees at the top to prevent snipers from taking you out with their noob m95 SA with mag ammo

Sorry if this isn’t 1000 chars but I felt its some good advice

The favourite position to cap this flag is from either side of the sloping road (to where the mcom and uav are in rush) so make sure you take out those trees and bushes giving them perfect cover when capping. Shown below (btw not my original pics... taken from slothwrangler @ http://www.reddit.com/r/badcompany2/...ts/bqv8h/maps/ and its from the rush map set - no conquest pics)

the boxes at flag are missing but you get the idea

damn..... looked a lot better in M$w0rd with formatting looool

Laguna Presa Rush.

- Attackers-

(1st set) Try to get as many people on 1 beach as possible to create a beach head. Hit the objectives in alphabetical order. This gets u behind the defenders and creates mayhem.

( 2nd, 3rd set) Try to keep your Bradley('s) alive (drivers watch for AT mines), they keep the enemy in cover so u can advance and set charges. If the Bradley's are gone, take their right flank and push hard to ALPHA then drop down to BRAVO

(4th 5th set) Really to win, just stay with your squad and push hard and take BRAVO if u can, but if not rush for APLHA. Use your team wisely only push into an area if there is no hostiles ( one can get on a .50cal and drop your guys)
Congrats u beat Laguna Presa rush

1) Laguna Alta Conquest
2) Laguna Presa Rush
3) Nelson Bay Squad Deathmatch
4) Port Valdez Conquest
5) White Pass Rush
6) Panama Canal Squad Deathmatch
1) In Laguna Alta CQ, have every quad go to base C. C is the best base to hold as it resembles a fortress and overlooks the entire map. And you get the UAV. Usually everybody rushes to flag A because it's the closest. So have people at C giving support fire to the guys at Base A. And have your tank go there. In the tank should be a driver, with ALT fire for the TOW missile. And a gunner with the Armor Spec. When you see the enemy tank, have an engineer jump out and shoot a rocket at it to give your tank an advantage. If this strategy is played right, you have captured Base A and C, and the enemy will be pinned down at B.

2) Laguna Presa Rush: 1st Base: When you are defending, you're naturally going to want to just move straight up towards the enemy spawn and not watch the flanks. Though the Attackers almost ALWAYS come up from the far left via boats. From there the attackers can just flood your base with many places to hide. Remember, you have some emplacements, so use them to your advantage. Always have people ready at the flanks, and always have somebody ready at Crate A. Attacking: Have a couple of people go straight towards the defender base instead of flanking to immediately put pressure on them, and to provide a distraction for the other attackers to flank safely. If you were flanking, arm crate A. This will make defenders fall back from the pressure created from the attackers who didn't flank and went straight in. As the defenders fall back, the attackers that have went straight in can now arm crate B.

4) Port Valdez CQ: A good chopper pilot will make or break the match here. At spawn, have the helicopter immediately go off to kill them enemy helicopter. After you kill the enemy helicopter, have a passenger in the helicopter jump out to steal the enemy helicopter when it respawns. Now your team has Air Superiority. Be sure to destroy ANY anti-air guns you see. Basically you have an almost guaranteed win because with Air Superiority the enemy will not have any tank or other vehicle for more than 10 seconds. You can now steamroll through the flags with your tanks and vehicles as there is no opposition. Proceed to the enemy spawn and lock them in there with tanks and helicopters.

Default BF:BC2 Strategies

1) Laguna alta:At first i suggest to take a ATV and rush down to the Lumber mill base and capture it. Run to the roof at once after the capture and shoot any attackers that are coming. From there you should proceed to the Trainyard and capture that base and then hold those bases

2) Laguna Presa: For the attackers They should have some snipers and the rest should take a water vehicle and land to the left side of the island and proceed to the Mcom's. Next base its a little of the same just on the right flank and don't use a vehicle and take the Mcom's from there. Next base you should go by the river and sneak up under the bridge and go for the crates. For the rest of the bases there are just standard procedure just get past the enemy and plant the bomb.

3) Nelson Bay: Go for the big building next to the trains and have 1-2 snipers in the tower and one assault/engineer and a medic to attack any enemies that are trying to get in the building

4) Port Valdez: The only thing you should focus on is to either defend the A base (Or the C base for USA) or attack the C base(Or A base for USA)

5) White Pass: For the attackers: You should stay in the top of the hills in the forests and use RPGs to shoot and damage the Mcom's and for the next bases there is pretty easy just blow up the houses the Mcom's are located in. For the Defenders: Just try and hold the first base as long as possible ( Because its the hardest one to get because the house isn't destroyable ) try to snipe the people that are in and coming out from the forests

6) Panama Canal: Try to hold up in the big building that are to the right of the the canal. Defend the building an have snipers on the roof and a medic and and engineer/assault in your squad.

Weapon tips: This is my tips to use for the different kits

Assault: I recommend to use the AEK With X4 sight and magnum ammunition it's accuracy makes it ideal for long to medium range and the high rate of fire also makes it good for close combat

Engineer: I recommend to use the AK-74 with Magnum ammo and lightweight, since it has high damage and fire rate it's ideal for close combat.

Recon: I recommend to use the M24 Sniper rifle with X4 Sights and magnum ammo This sniper rifle is very effective from close to medium range ( It may sound weird to use a sniper in close combat But it is very effective since its just one shot to kill an enemy at that range, plus its quick to aim with the X4 sight and you can also try to noscope if you feel lucky.

Medic: I recommend to use the MG36 with X4 sights and magnum ammo the LMG has very high damage and even more if you use the magnum ammo with it. The MG36 is very accurate and is ideal for long to medium range and can even be used to snipe with.

I also recommend to use the Thompson M1A1 with magnum ammo and lightweight. And the Neostead 2000 Combat with slugs and magnum ammo.

best strategy is not to play it. living in Australia we have no servers so there really isnt any use at all trying to play. you cant get kills sometimes putting entire clips into people with the bad pings we all have here, so why bother?

Good luck looking for tips for the Squad Deathmatches that few people here play.

Tips for White Pass Rush? The only thing I can think of is that at Dice HQ they think that maybe we hate White Pass Rush because we just don't understand how to play that map. Maybe a few tips will make us like it more.....even still, I'm not sure what more you can say then "Defend: Hold the first two crates. Attackers: Use every explosive at your disposal, especially the last two bases."

then watch and listen as your crates are insta blownup
without any warning or chance to do anything about it

run back to next base and repeat!!

Port Valdez conquest

US SIDE:

First, take the CAV, drive directly to base B.
Take over the base, and usually other guys on your team will capture base C.
Now you have two bases, which give you a big benefit.
Quickly, run to the VADS, who will spawn on base B.
Shot down the MI-28 Havoc with it which is really easy.
Stay on the VADS, and cut down all the trees to see everyone who moves.
Now, shot anyone who tries to get to base B on foot.

RU SIDE:

Do pretty much the same as in US, however when base B is taken, you should drive directly towards base C.

Laguna Presa Rush

Especially for the first few bases, defenders should mine the beaches and the roads. For the first base, the far left river channel is a great place as well as the beach in front of the [B] crate to destroy incoming landing craft. Also keep an eye out for the damage indicators on the crates; attackers will use the water vehicle grenade launchers to shell the area; discourage them with rockets. Attackers should use the open nature of the first base to their advantage by landing at different locations from near the crate for a quick rush to the MCOMM, to the far left or right, and then hump all the way around the base to attack the crates from the rear. Keep the defence guessing from where you will attack. Smoke grenades work well to shield attackers when running across open ground near MCOMM [B].

The second base can be mined by the defenders on the road but also consider the river channel where it is difficult for vehicles to see underwater mines. There are good places for recons at the back of the base, and other defenders should stay mobile and flexible. Attacking vehicles need to watch for mines on the road and in the water. Attackers should also maximize the flanks, which provide good cover. The cliff ledge is a good place for recons to cover more forward attackers, and the far right side along the waterway provides cover to sneak into the defenders’ base and further harass defenders.

For the third base beyond the wooden bridge, defenders should carefully use explosives to destroy the walls of both crate buildings to expose the crates and deny hiding locations to attackers. This is probably the hardest set of crates to take in this or any other map, so attackers need to stick together and be more aggressive. Getting and maintaining a foothold at the perimeter of the base will put constant pressure on the defenders and push them back allowing attackers to destroy the crates.

The fourth base with the river that runs behind the MCOMMs it is best to have defenders stay near the crates. The attackers’ spawn is relatively close and lots of trees and buildings provide cover to the attackers. Careful use of explosives by the defenders can take down the walls of the [A] MCOMM denying attackers the luxury of sneaking into that building. An attacking Bradley may have the most success by using the waterway around the far right, and infantry has a usually unguarded approach along the extreme left to attack MCOMM [B] from the rear.

For the final base, it is easier for defenders to defend MCOMM [B], but they shouldn’t give up [A] without a fight. Attackers still have the opportunity to approach the base from its extreme flanks and should take advantage of being able to circle around to the back of the enemy base from the far left. Defenders can mine the waterway or the road and should stay alert for attacking vehicles. Defenders should stay near the crates on this base as well, and have to stay alert for attackers from nearly any direction.
