Where was the snow in Vietnam? I think i made by point, don't bother creating a debate about what is wrote on a website not controlled by DICE. Languna Presa is not in that list either, that map is what we can expect to see from Vietnam maps, but a lot more jungle-style.

Server files had been rumoured to have been leaked at some point recently, this resulted in DICE creating a blacklist for some servers which, if you have updated to the latest version of the game, you cannot join. These servers could have very easily gone and named their servers "DICE" just to create this rumour, then naming the maps "NAM". It's extremely unlikely that DICE would have setup a server to be indexable by a server database such as the website that has been linked in this thread. The DICE test servers would be running a "covert" version of the game, with unique variables that only DICE staff know, thus they would not be findable and would not be found on the public indexed server list. I'd expect an internal server list within the DICE network.

Also, i think a DICE rep should lock this post explaining that the information is false because quite clearly it is.

I really hope that the names are just placeholders, DICE can't be that stupid to think that we would buy an expansion with renovated maps.

The snow and sand in existing maps will be coloured green thus representing the lush foliage of Vietnam.

I don't think cows are known for following but it's quite an amusing word to use.

Dutch people normally call people cows/sheeps. Don't ask me why. I just saw it on another forum.

Haha they call them sheeps/cows because they follow the herde blindly, without thinking for themselves.

Jees, I am not even really Dutch and I still understand their language better than most natives

The Vietnam maps are not repurposed BC2 maps.

The directory names for the Vietnam maps are mp_001_nam, mp_002_nam, etc.

We have run dev servers against the public backend on occasion. www.bfbcs.com has noticed those map directories being run on our dev servers; then the creators of www.bfbcs.com have incorrectly assumed that mp_001_nam is a Vietnam version of Panama Canal, etc.

And then some people get a bit excited.

So, to reiterate: the info on www.bfbcs.com is incorrect. Chill.

Is was obvious that DICE wouldn't use BC2 maps in Vietnam.

Use common sense pl0x?

I question the community rather than DICE. White Pass NAM? You people thought that would be in NAM? Alaska? Really? And remember how in old Battlefields, Mods would stack on top of the Vanilla version and you could play Vietnam maps with EoD(Eve of Destruction) or BFV Arsenal etc? Or combine them(Arsenal with EoD + WWII)? That could be the situation with BC2 NAM. You'd load up NAM and you could play all BC2 maps and NAM maps with the new weapons, vehicles, etc. Chill guys...

What the hell is wrong with you guys huh, HUH!

You not only got 5 map packs after the game released, also the VADS and the 4x4.

DICE was then nice enough to let you all have access to the VIP area, and you shove it back in there faces.

So what if it doesn't snow in Vietnam, use your imagination.

Personally I can't wait, these aren't just any re-hashed maps they are your life they will be here forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever. Until we get the next expansion, BFBC2 Afganistan with Basra Harbour, Falougha Pass, and all the rest of the epic maps just imagine.
