Battlefield 3 Open Beta Crashes 2-5 minutes into the game

Getting bluescreen error:

nvlddmkm.sys

Game: Battlefield 3 Open Beta
Map: Operation Metro
Player: PeteRoy
PC Spec:
CPU: Intel Core i7 920 default speed
RAM: 6GB Triple channel
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285 with 285.38 driver
OS: Windows Vista SP2 64-bit

Having read all your wall of text, I think you have a problem on your Midi render. They are:
Midi Renderers:
Default MidiOut Device,0x00800000,1,0,,6.06.6002.18158

The final should be 18179.
Update it and play just fine.

EDIT: just to make it clear, it's a joke, just try to update drivers.
