well since my gpu isn't ever recommended It may be wise to upgrade when the game comes out (hd5770)

I was planning on doing that anyways

Depends greatly on resolution.

A HD 6850 could probably do high settings at 1024x768 for example, but barely manage medium at 1080p.

It really depends greatly on resolution.

It's recommended. Or 5770 has less then 512mb of ram memory?

a 6850 will easily handle med/high when HBAO/SSAO whatever the shadow enhancement in bf3 will be is turned off.

because the game uses 64 bit instructions and will get a better framerate there the game is partially 64bit

We need to know what was in those Alienware machines. Im sure they wouldnt demo the game at E3 with 30fps.

Resolution is a big factor, and for me personally, I wouldnt play the game unless it was played at 1080.
I would have to adjust my AA and AF settings to make it playable.
I have a i5 (stock) and a 6970 also stock, and I am hoping that I can run the game at 1080 with 4x AA and AF.

Yes I may be dreaming, but thats my goal. If we knew what they used to demo the game, we would now more about what WE need to play it.

Me too, but sadly we were just corrected by DICE rendering. Im sure its pretty much what it will be, but you know the legalities, you cant make it official untill it comes from DICE, or EA

Question is whether the official specs will differ much from the specs the OP posted.

Quad Core, 4 gigs RAM and a 6850/460 are pretty much on-par with mid-range hardware this year.

I cant imagine a six core, 8 gigs ram and a GTX 480/HD 6950 being the recommended requirements.

for the cpu the min would b like core 2 duo and ram would b like 2gb and the graphics card will b maybe 9800gt for nvidia and maybe somewhere in the 5000 series for good old AMD and the HDD would b 10gb-15gb no surprise from the HD drive tho
