I make one small generalization for the sake of argument and I get flak for it. Well ok maybe its not so small

My point still stands though. This isn't exactly an apple we're dealing with here. An apple with a bit of brown in it is a bad apple. A game with a bit of bad code in it isn't necessarily a bad game(though it might be). Expecting game software to be 100% perfect is silly and claiming that coders are incompetent because it isn't is even more so.

2142 is a great game warts and all. It would be nice if it didn't have those warts but I don't think calling the developers incompetent is exactly fair. It would be nice to get some news on the patch though

How do you not know that it isn't a problem with the engine or major parts of the code that would be better fixed with a new game?

Maybe with IW's PC server debacle all hands are on deck getting some Bad Co. 2 info ready for release right before MW2's release?

Seriously though, you think they would just let Baza et. al just finilalalala off to get it off the books.

That is part of the patch yes.
I can't give you a date on when it will be done but programmers are still working on it here.
Localisation has been completed and we have been in closed beta for a couple of weeks and fixing some issues that came up in those tests.

Localisation is due to us making the game in English and then the localisation process is where every other language gets translated and approved for use.
So it goes out to each territory to get the game transalted to French, German, Spanish etc etc.
Takes ages to do

I'm not exactly looking for northern strike for myself Kinetic since I already own it

I'm just hoping to be able to put northern strike maps into a normal server rotation without having to force people to disconnect. Also if they include northern strike in the patch it should mean the end for that ridiculous patching order.

I hear you big MAN,, it can be a pain messing around with the patches ,, half the time when i install the game i dont bother putting it on,, i only install NS if i make a new soldier and want the boots and the extra herzog shot for that extra miss reg hit i always get
