i see now that more and more servers are asking for donations

well people have to pay for servers, if only so many in clan do and you play on that server often its worth your while trying to help. if they dont make enough to cover cost then server will vanish, of course people will move on, but then that server will vanish untill people are left crying there are only offical servers or they cant get on a server due to restricted slots for people who do pay.

it cost alot to keep a RANKED server running so if you donate its all good !! i only ask members of my clan to help but only if they wish !!!.. but as a post above says if no one coughs up there wouldnt be no servers for no one !.

We run on donations, but so far it has only been from members. We do have a couple of clans that seem to live on our servers, and the odd tenner here and there wouldn't go amiss but we never ask non members.......although it would be nice if some offered lol

We have a DEDI box, £80 per month. This will run all our games. COD4 - Vanilla - Zombie MOD, CS:S Vanilla, Zombie, BFV, TF2. Try and get those on separate servers the cost would be like £300+ per month...

As for donating, I have donated to an anti-cheat site, but never to a server.

EDIT: If someone wants to set up a server to run BF2142 Zombie Mod though, I'll donate to THAT!
