How attentive do you find server admins? - Page 2

Now that two or three players have left that clan, I really like it too. In the past I avoided it because there were these handful of players that I didn't trust, but now I agree with you all the way.

Also, the G&A clan are very reasonable people, and they've just got a new 32 slot Camp Gib server running battlerecorder, so we hope to sit watching the footage and catching cheats over the next few weeks.

Well that's strange Luther,because I have just recently started to play with them again after stopping for a couple of months for the very same reason,it was that bad i used to check who was on the server before even joining,I had the guys name wrote down but lost it,but yeah even score is an even game in my book,if you get me?

I can chime in here after a forum absence and say that my clans servers pretty much always have someone on with admin rights.

These rights are not given out to just anyone and they must have attained a rank within the clan and no tards will get it. Minimum join age into the clan is 21 and we accept people of all skillsand accross Europe. Whilst age of members does certainly not guarantee maturity, admin rights are only given to those who demonstrate fairness and understanding of the rules.

As a result admins are fair and do listen to issues raised by any player if voiced in general chat or through VOIP. We dont accept cheating / glitching and general abuse of game mechanics or other. We play hard and fair. Simple.

yep 9/10 clan's admin their servers in a retarded way

... just going back to the topic would like to hear some opinions on this clan... then see if you can guess the clan

- If you jump twice and kill an admin you get banned for bunyhopping.
- If you kill them with a tv through the shield you are a hacker?!
- If you fly good you are a hacker?!
- If you are a member of a clan who owns them over and over (lol) then they just ban you ALL (stat padding yeh?) oh and to quote one of their members "our gameplay should improve now" lol.

I haven't even been on this server but apparently I'm banned cos a teammate owned the noob admin. Noob admin decides he is hacking with NO proof and all this crap kicks off and were all banned.. not entirely sure of the full story but couldn't give a crap about the ban but the admins are just a pathetic joke and if you ask me this is stat padding.

So yeh if you want to see for yourself how ridiculous it is once we have established the clan... go into the server with {TMM} tags on and watch urself be branded a hacker with no proof.

I watched an Xfire video, it was funny however the guy playing was afraid of killing the Admin. It's a shame that people are afraid of doing so, because they fear the admins sore reaction, who obviously has kicked this person for killing them in the past. That's very pathetic, some admin.

oh and the annoyance isnt from the ban its from them causing crap with our clan for a long time and at a time when everything was fine... doing that and saying things like this

I must admit a fighting commander is a no no in my book,yeah yeah you can do both jobs at once "cos I'm the best" Well the long and the short of it is that you cant.

i.e You cant spot if your driving or fighting

Thing is, commanders need to move around sometimes. That's what I do. And along the way you will meet enemies and you will have to shoot them, why should you be punished for that? What is wrong with that?

I don't mind combat commanders, ones who sometimes get in the combat, I just mind the ones who are in the combat all the time, and barely use their abilites.

Doesn't mean they can't get into combat once in a while. They can command during the fight, like leaders of a squad. Unlike Squad Leaders, they won't get into the intense firefights.

I've played fighting Commander nearly 80% of the times that I've gone Commander. I've won nearly 10,000 games now, with a win to loss of well over 2:0.

So long as you don't let the fighting distract you from other duties, it can be done.

If you sat-track and see that the entire enemy team are all covered by your UAV, then further spotting is a waste of time, and so you're better off doing something like laying mines or sniping while the UAV is up and all the other command assets are re-charging.

Only KAIN has more Commander-points than I do, and from all my commanding experience I can say that Commanders who never fight are missing opportunities to help both themselves and their teams a little bit more.

If a commander is doing a good job then its 100% no problem to go in and get a piece of the action. But if the server actively says a rule for the commander I can understand why. What I don't get is servers that ban you the moment you go commander... or why noobs scream out in chat NO COMMADERS on our servers... to which I always reply "noob who the F are you to make up our rules?"

We are on the far end of the scale really. If you aint cheating then no problem. You are only likely to get booted from one of our servers for:

1, Whining like a child
2, Cheating (including glitching)
3, Kick voting the admin

But us SLAGS are an enlightened bunch

Well I went on your server and met a cheater, more specifically a hacker (everyone on this forum will know who he was) and told your admins and they ignored me... fair enough your choice but you should REALLY get your server streaming to pbbans. None the less I had my fun teamkiling him over and over.

There are ways about complaining to admin. We run Punkbuster on the server and keep our eyes open as much as we can.

People who whine all the time and start kick votes, which then result in a vote against them, then their mate starting a vote, unsually get short shrift from any admin.

If you have a problem, send a whisper. If you get no joy, send it again, and back it up with what is happening.

If we kicked everyone who gets accused of cheating, then that would be 60% of people gone. Just accept that some people are better than you, and the control system in 2142 is not the greatest.

snertos those things were done but not to worry doesn't bother me I was merely trying to point out that if you don't stream to an A/C site then someone can be caught hacking on one server in this case for a game hack and just go straight into your server.... these were not acquisitions if you get me, more solid proof, not one of those OI he is hacking ban him... without any proof as you were suggesting.

I'd suggest strongly that you stream to pbbans otherwise your server WILL be full of hackers.
