Help please... servers not showing.

Ok! I resently got a laptop and I wanted to play my brother on bf2142 thing is after updating it all and signing in with out a problem I noticed that the server list is empty... im running patch 4.0 and both computers are running on the network fine... im on vista tho... that a problem? My new laptops spec is more then enough to play bf2142 but im just not getting any servers show up... I have tryed taking all the filters off and still I get no servers come up... not even ones on a different version... any one here know whats up with it?

If you do can you let me know what im doing wrong? Would really like to get playing again...

update: It seems to be a network thing... not sure what it is... I get internet for the laptop but no servers show up for any game... again, any help would be nice.

windows firewall ?

no... its off... I think its a ports or vista issue... im not sure.... opened the ports... still nothing. Strange thing is that the desktop on the same network can play it fine... thats on XP tho. another weird thing is that the laptop gets internet brousing theres just not any servers when I go to play online games. its like they are blocked... :l
