Northern Strike Poblem...

I payed, downloaded and installed it via EAStore and Download Manager... but when i try to join an assault lines game it says northern strike is required. I also tried launching the game from the Northern Strike option on EADownload Manager... exactly the same thing, because apparently launching Northern Strike means i don't actually have it...

Anyone shed some light on the situation?

EDIT* btw i had already patched to 1.25 before i got NS and i DID patch it again after i installed it... still have the problem.

...And oh great! the 1.25 patch i had downloaded through 'eadownloader' has now disappeared so i have to waste my time AGAIN waiting for it to download at extremely low speeds... when i downloaded Northern Strike a few days ago my patches were still there cos i had to actually patch it, now they've disappeared WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!

ok so i tried uninstalling everything about 2142... reinstalled patched before and after northern strike and i still get the same message when i try to join assault lines and also when i look at the unlocks it says i must have northern strike booster to access them... WHICH I DO... now i know it was only £4.99 but i haven't just payed that money out to waste time trying to sort something that shouldn't need sorting and get frustrated. I bought Armoured Fury when it came out and i had no problems at all with it, so what is the problem, why am i having to come on here instead of playing your game.

OK, first off download the 1.25 patch directly and not through EA Store. At least that way, you have it on your PC so that you can install it as many times as you like without having to download it again.

Your NS problem sounds suspiciously like an account problem. Is the name you log in to EA Store the same one that you use to log in to 2142?

yes, it is... its the EA account name so yeah, exactly the same.

i have the 1.25 patch now aswell...

sorted now, EA Support sort of helped me, although trying to log in on EAStore to find my orders took more work than needed... for anyone else who can't find it, go into 'customer service' and there's a link above the FAQ's.

i didn't get the activation code in the email they sent me, i had to find it in the previous orders.

PLEASE HELP.. Anyone! I purchased Both the 2142 and the Norther Strike. Installed 2142 and played.. great. So I thought time for Norther Strike, which came in a DVD case except inside was a download code instead of a DVD/CD with instructions on how to download:

"Go to EALINK and download the EALINK manager" - Hello.. this I presume is now EASTORE and EA DOWNLOAD MANGER? I downloaded and installed the manager and opened... logged in.. but nothing to click on except and EA STORE link!!?!! If I go to EA downloads section it wants my card details. So having purchased the game, how on this planet do I download it? I have been in contact with EA via E-mail but they told me to re-install the manager which I did and still the same, I've given them all my details and now I get no response. I can't ring them because they don't seem to own a phone so if someone somewhere can help I will be grateful.

From what I can see is that once it is in the cart you need to enter that code into the promotion code box. I did not have a code to test it from their. Is that what you are doing? Is it still asking you for a credit card# after that point?

I received a download for NS in a jewel case, downloaded it and can't play NS games.

I e-mailed support, but no response after 5 days.

I have now re-loaded BF2142 and the patch and Punkbuster as mentioned in threads and still it won't let me play.

As I downloaded it, surely it should be in a folder somewhere? Oh no, it isn't. So I own a code and no game. Slightly miffed? Oh yes.

Can I re-download? Nope, the code has already been used.

On the plus side, I didnt lose my character when I reloaded BF2142.

well i have entered my download code in promotional code box in many variations like in small letter in capital along the - in the middle after every four letter and without the - aswell and it doesnt work
so does anyone have any other ideas???

The letters "U" and "V" look very similar with the fonts they use for CD-keys. Try swapping them round.

u know if this doesnt work i am gonna stop playin all of the EA GAMES THAT I HAVE CAUSE thy would have cheated on us

well i installed the battlefield 2142 then installed the patch 1.25
then installed NS then reinstalled patch 1.25
ns didnt work cause in the game it kept sayin go buy from ea link
anywayz so i went to the ea link to redeem the the key thing
entered it
and connected it to my email

and in persona the the classice ea name that i use to sign into battlefield 2142 which is danish587
then i saved those settings
went to ea and logged in i went to track my games
and i could see battlefield northern strike there
BUT STILL WHEN I GOTO THE GAME AND TRY PLAYIN THE NEW MAPS IT DOESNT ALLOW ME AND TELLS ME TO GOTO EA LINK AND BUY IT
HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
