I already linked my BF Persona to my EA Classic Account which. So as of now I have one email for my EA account (Email Y) but if I should request my BF 2142 password in case I forget it, it is sent to (Email X)

Edit: Problem is still apparent.

I have a few questions.
Did you forget your password and are you trying to retrieve it?

Also; are you just trying to make sure that all your account persona's have the same Email address tied to the Email Address?
What I said to do in post number #24 above should be able to help if this is the case. That is where you would go to see which persona's are tied to a certain Email Address. Log into the Link that is posted their and use the drop down menu on the name and select the My Account option. It will bring you to the EA Account manager. Their you will be able to see as to which persona's are tied to that particular Email Address.

As for the reason that your account would still be sending your password to an old Email Address and not the one that you changed it to; I am not sure as to why it would do that. It should be going to the one that is listed in the account management system.

Is this the VOIP? If so then you might need to reset the audio settings in the game and the actual computer's audio settings.

you get the modified content warning if you havent updated punkbuster in vista.
Due to vista UAC security it stops punkbuster auto updating thus giving you the modified content warning go to their website and update punkbuster using their auto updater

http://websec.evenbalance.com/downlo...ws/pbsetup.exe click this and update the bf2142 client
run bf2142 with administrator priveleges by right clicking and selecting run as admin and it shoudl work

this method worked for me as long as the game is patched to 1.50

Hi,
i have tried the different ways to solve the "BF2142Pace.exe doesnt work anymore"-Problem, but none seem to work.

I have tried many different ways of installing it, with patch without, everything i found on the web... but nothing has worked sofar!

I have Vista ultimate and a Nvidia Geforce 9800GTX. I have also DL and installed(with deinstalling the old drivers) the newest drivers without sucsess!

I am close to resigning and turning my back on BF2142!

The funny thing is when i first installed it from EA-DLmanager i played it for an hour without any probs, then the next day i started my pc i got that error message when i wanted to play!!

By the way, is the newest patch the 1.5? and is it a standalone with 539mb?

This Vista is also getting on my nerves! Too many problems with it in combination of games!!

I would really be glad to any help provided!!

I think I already answer to this into a different thread,anyway...Before you join the servers go to ''options panel'' and acces ''game controlers''.There you turn all your options to ''DEFAULT'' after that try to play,I'm sure it's gone a work...

Please respond, I love 2142. Thanks.
I posted this on it's own thread as well. All I'm getting is annoying Little Britain puns.

Well, i found the solution to my problem by accident with another game!

I had to deactivate the "Data Execution Prevention - DEP" and now its working again!

To change it, you go to your system settings ->extended setting ->Systemproperties ->performance on settings and here set the DEP to off! (not shure if its correct described, as i have a german version of Vista)
You will have to restart you PC after that!

Hope to have helped someone else out there!!

Hey guys.

I have had BF2142 for 1 year and have been playing happily for months until i bought a Geforce 8600GT 512mb graphics card, an upgrade to my 7300LE.

I insert it into the computer, download the drivers, restart the computer, try out BF2 which works fine. I then move onto BF2142, i insert the cd and it starts making very strange noises in the motherboard, it sounds like overheating but dies down and then BF2142 says "Insert the Playdisc and click ok and retry". I tired a no-cd crack but even then it didn't work, now i installed the 1.5 patch hoping that would fix the problem but it still does not work, i tired downloading a image file for the game and mounted it onto Daemon Tools and turned on YASU, no change.

I looked over the EA support page but it didn't talk about this problem at all. I think it maybe a problem with my PSU, its only 300watts so maybe EA's BLOOD SUCKING SECUROM IS TAKING AWAY ALL MY POWER JUST TO SCAN MY DISC!

My brother has the same computer as me and has no problem at all with his game using the same CD so it must be because of my graphics card upgrade.

Once again why i hate EA for picking the worst copy protection there ever there was.

I could really use help so i can get back to blowing up Titans, please help!

Fixed : All i did was rename BF2142.exe to BF.exe and now it works, also i updated safedisc with a fix from microsoft.

It annoyed the heck out of me too until I did that............no more kicks after that....lol

uh... i did that, and now there's an error with the updater that says:

Unhandled Error: ERROR: Could not copy

Maybe your firewall is blocking it.
Otherwise delete the contents of the pb folder(why is it named bp on your pc?).
Run pbsvc and select uninstall
Install pbsvc
Run pbsetup

I don't think EA will care about the ownership change, they want to sell more copies of the game.
You can try EA Support
Good Luck!

Sorry to hear that little issue..
Buying second hand PC games is maybe a bit to blame here though, surely? This is what happens.
