Can't get Northern Strike to run right? - Page 4

not sure if its related but i had issue with getting bf2142 to work, and it turned out to be with copy protection, pace is name of it. basicly someone had written small batch file to remove the keys and after that it was fine. on this issue you cant do anything by uninstalling and deleting bf2142 keys. ill try find info on the file.

open notepad called it fix.bat or anything you like.

it might be totaly unrelated but it did make my bf2142 work.

I found with northern strike that you have to patch 1.4, install ns, 1.4, then 1.5 or hte ns files just don't update

Hey all ,i know its annoying to ask for something that has already been stated , but most of the forum reply's her refer to the Deluxe probs or the patch 1.40 issues.Here is my state i have 2142 patched with 1.50 ,and have installed NS with 1.5 as well,but im getting that invalid patch or somthing message ,so before i go off and unistall the whole game or fiddle with any of my files, im asking u one simple question,should i uninstall my BF 2142 copy , totally removing that way NS , then reinstall the game , pathcing it over with 1.40 patch , ..and.. then reinstalling NS from eadm, and repatching it with 1.40,and then 1.50? from what ive read in this thread and forums this is what i have concluded to , well is it right? or is it gonna be a waste of my time?
Any other ideas ( that are gonna work??),please help me out,thx all .

Invalid patch or modified content error?
Does the game crash when looking at some medals/ribbons/badges in BFHQ?

The modified content error can be fixed by going into the registry and changing the version to 1.10 (Right click on Version, select Modify) and then install the 1.50 full patch.
For 32bit Windows it's under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2142
For 64bit Windows it's under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Electronic Arts\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2142

BFHQ crash can only be fixed by uninstalling the game and re-installing: 1.50 Patch Details and Download Link

Also make sure that the 1.50 patch is not the incremental patch ; but the full version.

the full txt is : This server only allows players with unmodified content to join.Revert ure version to the current official version to join.

So what i got to do is fix this registry ? is it gona fidle with any settings or files of the rest of the game,i mean is it safe ? and thx ill give it a trey soon

coulddnt get ns to load in muiti as it did before ages ago they sent me email back to the dam forums so i try to uninstal and set up again and it wont uninstall 2 windows apear the last window my screen flashes a bright blue very fast and then nothiing

If you can't uninstall, try the manual uninstall: ANSWER

ok i sussed this its the new drivers for vid cards they produce mad glitches> as in pretty colors on the screen in multiplay
pain really hope this is the new vid card ban for haxors
also tried vector rolls bits about cache all i get is no cd key

i also bought a bf2142 + ns booster pack.i installed the game. when it told me to activate ns ,i went to the link and entered the code and a few minutes later it said this "system error.plz try again later".what do i do!

Please ensure that you select an EA classic screen name that meets these requirements." this is what shows up when ever i try to enter the produck key from my eastore download. when i use my BF@2142 dulux editon code all it says "SYSTEM ERROR, PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER" what do i do to get NS on my computer then????? sombody please reply

There is a battlefield 2142_code.exe file in the support folder (program files/electronic arts\bf2142) use that to re-enter your cd-key, then install the 1.50 patch (525mb).

I had a problem with NS a while back, it took i think just over a month and then finaly, a EA support team member managed to sort it out for me.

i can't play battlefield 2142 bosterpack that comes withe norther strike ; after downloading there is an activate (northern strike)comes withe it i insert my CD key 2 active (northern strike) i also register an account in order to enter the game with it 2 activate northern strike but no use ; it always told me that(the CD is already regsterd with an account) itryed ...... if u now any thing plz help me!@# my email is (west_sider_lover@hotmail.com) thnx

yeah i got problems to with northern strike, i played it then uninstalled and reinstalled the game, i also had to do that to northern stike but it said the code had already been activated and wuldnt let me reinstall it i was like yeah been already activated by me! ive given up now lol play 1943 lot less glitchy but in fariness not as fun

I'm having a problem with Northern Strike... I install 2142, patch to 1.5, install northern strike, path again to 1.5, and when I try to join a NS map, it says "you must have unmodified content to join etc". It's straight off the EADM, and it's apparently modified content?

Anyone know how to fix this? I'd like to be able to play some NS maps again...

wheres ea link... each link i click on just takes me to the games section. and i cant find where the redeem an EA Link code thingy mabob is. help me >.> i just downloaded ns..
