OFFICIAL Release of BF2142 v1.51
OK guys, so we have a change of plans after a tip off here on the forums that the md5 checks were not working. We spent this week fixing them and have verified everything is working with some of the RSP's (thanks XFactorServers.com and ArtOfWarCentral.com).
The official release of BF2142 v1.51 will be on Tuesday 15th Febuary. This does mean there is another patch file which EVERYONE will need to download and install. If you have v1.51 installed already you will need to go into Regedit and modify version number from 1.51 to 1.50 before running the install file. If you are installing fresh from DVD or EA Download Manager you will need to download and run v1.50 patch FIRST and then v1.51. You can get v1.50 from Fileplay here - Battlefield 2142 Patch v1.50 - Full download on Fileplay (BF2142_Update_1.50.exe) The v1.51 patch is currently only for PC. The Mac version is away for the conversion process.

I have to say, well done Baza and Jason.
You have both worked really hard in making this deam a reality. Battlefield 2142 is THEE ONLY Battlefield game even worth playing now, BF2 was killed by dolphine divers, and what was left of it patch 1.5 killed. Don't even bother looking at Bad Console 1 and Bad Console 2 ! And now news in that even BF3 has already failed ! As of now what is your attitude towards Battlefield 3? Sorry to everyone it took as long as it did for v1.51.
BF2142 is still my favourite of all Battlefield games and this last push really makes me want to play Thanks to Jason for the awesome new maps and helping on Operation Blue Pearl and good luck with Rikochet (bit of a shameless plug for him there )

The new 1.51 file weighs in at ~2Gb.
Mammoth in Australia will have it. Fileplay in Europe, WOLF and XFactor will have it in North America/Canada to begin with as well as EA's CDN. You are welcome to create Torrents for it and share it out that way but we won't have one by default.

for those who have installed 1.51 beta, you should also delete the whole 1.51 registry folder. not doing this prevented me from joining some of the 1.51 servers due to version mismatch. do this along with resetting the 1.51 to 1.50 in the registry.
