Default Battlefield 2142 v1.51 Public Beta

Battlefield 2142 v1.51 is available for public beta from Friday 17th September at 10am UK/11am Europe/2am West Coast and run all weekend. Not only does the update contain numerous client and server side fixes including enhanced account security, it also includes Northern Strike FREE for all Battlefield 2142 players as well as 4 brand new maps.
  • Operation Blue Pearl – Supply Lines by Björn Sundell and Jason Brice
  • Strike at Karkand 2142 – Conquest by Jason Brice
  • Molokai – Titan by Jason Brice
  • Yellow Knife – Supply Lines by Jason Brice
The client will be available to download from www.Fileplay.net and all players should install v1.50 BEFORE trying to install v1.51.

The purpose of this Beta is to test server stability and let you see the new content. If the servers hold up to the stress test this version will become the release version that everyone will have. We'll try to reduce the need to do a reinstall should that change.

Thanks to everyone at Combat Testing for their help getting v1.51 to a Public Beta state.

First signs of the file will be at Fileplay as mentioned above and when activated tomorrow morning, will be available here - Battlefield 2142 - Patch 1.51 Beta1 download on Fileplay (BF2142_Patch_1.51.exe)

Bookmark it, keep it, get ready to download it.

Beatifull, this is just the best Battlefield 2142 news in a while. Finally, it's finished. Let's hope that it will be stable.

Baza we should have a Battlefield 2142 party at the DICE HQ in Stockholm. Just a suggestion. For all of the work put into this, the community appriciates it.

Tusen tack.

Woohoo... Roll on tomorrow morning. Now all we need to do is find a european server which is running 1.51 only maps. Cheers baza for giving us diehard 2142 players the chance to try out the open beta.

We have some RSP's around the world setting up v1.51 servers today so you should see servers appearing from now until the morning.

If it goes well over the weekend the Beta will become final and we'll announce that the file is the one to download and will convert all servers to v1.51.

Ideal world... BF2142 v1.51 will be declared final and officially released on Monday.

Hope you are gonna give it a try Minmaster we need players on the servers to try out the stability. If we don't get the numbers we'll never know if its good for final.

i'll try to get in. if i can find a US server with decent ping.

btw, do you guys still plan to release 2142 on steam? if so, when? i've told some friends who wanted to buy it to wait for the steam version with the free NS.

We have a few US hosts running servers so you should find one close by.

Yeah the plan is for it to still hit Steam but we need to finalise 1.51 patch first so we can be sure the Steam version is good too.

The Steam version will be BF2142 Deluxe which would have NS with it anyway.

Baz, one question;

Now that we will have 1.51 soon and we will get NS for free, we will also be able to get the NS unlocks, right? I mean get to unlock them yes, not all at once no..

I'm sure that will be the case. It would be a strange deal otherwise; free NS, but still have to buy to get the unlocks? No, it'll be the complete package.
