In this map there are vehicles or is only infantry mode because I want the two versions of the map! I hope that the map is well balanced and the 1.51 patch out soon in an open beta

Good pics mate!

Not bad at all. I noticed some statics from bf2 lol. Must've taken awhile using shader wrapper/bf meshview to get the all the textures onto the objects

I am really looking forward to this map.

But I am wondering if these images were somehow postprocessed?
Even though this map seems to be set in "winter", the (lack of) colors on many statics looks quite strange.
Like a black and white image. :S
Especially this one.

You can set sun/sky colour on the static objects so that it gives a more realistic feel to the map

It looks amazing, I never bought BF2 either, so this is a great way of testing out Karkand, with a 2142 twist. Which just makes the entire experience greater.

I used max to redo most of the UVs. Several building have been completely retextured. Most, just the base texture are remapped to use 2142 color.

thefirst Karkand was so BRIGHT! This version is very much void of too much color, and it was done on purpose...as it reflects a region that is in the process of freezing over...

I know what the idea is. But imo. they overdid it.
There is a difference between "using less color" and "using none".

even in a "nearly froozen" enviroment, palm trees would not suddenly turn black and white.
same goes for all the walls.

less color is okay because of the setting of the map - but only black and white is not right.
look at the other BF2142 maps for comparison.

there is no "they", it's a one man creation.

solidservo - I dont think the ice age featured in thisgame happened literally overnight which would explain the trees!

anyway, i reckon the colours (...) suit it well.

Just hope this whole thing is released soon so we can play with these shiny things
