Default I bought the game but i need to try something

hey, alright i downloaded the demo and thought it was pretty awesome so i saved up for a bit and then went and bought bf2142 but when i got home i couldnt play it, my computer doesnt meet the system requirements but the demo still runs fine, which is why i thought it didnt matter... then i realised my computer is so old i dont have a dvd drive and cant read the disk, so im getting a major upgrade to my computer but until then is there anyway i can like, download the game and use a verification code on my box or something so i dont have to wait

Replacing the CD drive with a DVD drive is probably your best bet. It shouldn't cost much at all. I can buy a DVD-ROM drive locally for 16 euro, assuming your computer has the normal 5.25 inch size CD drive.

Replacement is just a matter of opening the case, removing the cables from the CD player, removing the four screws that hold it in place and then putting the visually near-identical DVD drive in and doing all that in reverse. Assuming you are using a normal desktop PC, that is, and not something in a smaller form factor or a laptop etc.

The EA link variant of the game differs from the DVD variant, and having the code for one doesn't mean you get the other, so you'd have to buy the game again (at the inflated price they charge at EA link).

I really wouldn't recommend it. For less money you'd be able to upgrade to a DVD drive.
