Hello everyone,

Is the patch 1.50 an incremental patch to 1.41 or 1.40? I have BF2 deluxe edition and the incremental patch 1.3-1.4. Do I have to patch it to 1.41 or can I install 1.50 straight away?

Best regards

j23k:
1.50 is incremental from 1.41. So when you reinstall the game, the install order is:
- BF2.
- SF.
- Patch 1.41.
- Patch 1.50.

Hmn, why oh why didn't Baza call the patch "BF2_Incremental_Patch_1.41-1.50.exe"?

Because that would make people think that there is a full version too somewhere and they would start asking questions over and over again.

You can only use EU weapons on EuroForce maps.

No.
The patch just does the same as if you had previously bought the booster packs.

The EF/AF weapons and vehicles are only accessible on the respective maps.

The exceptions are the tier two unlocks for the sniper and AT class, which are stock EU weapons, but are unlocks for vanilla BF2 since a patch in 2006.

Yes, but you should have been able to unlock them before.
Those two weapons are in the game as regular unlocks since patch v1.2, the one that was released shortly before EF in early 2006.
BF2S Wiki otheratchhistory, BF2S.com

If you have a look in BFHQ in the game, you should see those two unlocks with a "closed padlock" symbol when you cycle through the unlocks of the respective classes sniper and AT.

Do you actually have available unlock points to use?
I.e. have you ranked up enough to be eligible to choose one?
What's your username?

I'll try reinstalling the 1.2 patch and see if i can do anything from there.
EDIT: i tried reinstalling the 1.2 patch, still can't unlock

Ah, I see where your problem is.
You have to play at least 1 second on any SF map to be eligible to access the second tier of unlocks, which both of the two we are talking about are.

So, either buy SF or go to a friend who has it installed and log in with your account. You can also go to an internet café or play at a LAN club.
Also, although riskier, you can ask someone on the internet to log in with your account.

I have done that for a few people before, so if you want, PM me your details.

Edit:
Furthermore, once you have access to the second tier of unlocks, you need to already have unlocked the first weapon of a class to be able to get the second one.

See here: http://bf2s.com/player/111506682/
Right now you only have one row of unlocks and zero playtime of SF.
A second row of (greyed out) unlocks will appear below.
