The limit is GameSpy based and we can increase/decrease it as much as we want and when we want. 1.50 does include some changes but we need to see if they have worked before lifting/increasing any kind of limits. We will keep monitoring the servers and see if things change and work from there.

After these individuals did all this unnecessary arguing the final verdict on this issue is as follows:

Nothing is wrong. As Battlefield 2 and Special Forces run seperately, clicking on a Special Forces server in the browser list will close Battlefield 2 as part of the change process. If you do not have Special Forces the game will keep you on the desktop as Special Forces isn't present to load.
So do not click Special Forces servers if you do not have it (servers have a GREEN number 2 next to them in the server browser), if you do and you go back to desktop just load BF2 again.
So apparently you cannot add SF to the map rotation. Hopefully there will be no red server listings (unless I missed something). The user has to make sure they have SF installed or they will be kicked to Desktop. Which is what I was trying to find out from the get go

What are the 'Additional support for Windows Vista' fixes?

Since moving to Vista 64 bit I have never been able to get in game VOIP working with my Creative X-Fi card (although it works fine in 2142), can I expect this to work now?

You claim hit reg is improved. Does this mean all bullets will hit the target??

Stop trolling dude. A dozen people explained to you that SF is handled like a mod, and servers can't handle more than one mod at once. Hit boxes more accurately represent where you see the target being. i.e. model and hit box match.

Last I heard that was with Creative drivers causing issues for some unknown reason with BF2 and Vista.

It's not trolling to ask a question in hopes that it will be answered. It is trolling when replies like this are received. Specially when the final answer is placed in the sticky notes linked earlier which says something different.

Special Forces can't run in rotation with Battlefield 2. They use different renderers.
However Euro Force and Armored Fury can run in rotation with Battlefield 2 maps.

When you ask a question over and over again saying that all these replies did not answer your question even though they actually were the answer, then you're absolutely provoking this kind of reaction. And therefore, a troll.

A dozen people tell you: No you cannot combine SF and vanilla maps. You ignore them and even misinterpret that answer in the sticky notes.

Gotcha, so the end user will still be able to pick either or regardless though. No, SF cannot be added to the rotation but it appears that users will still be able to select SF maps. Albiet it will cause them to exit BF2 and start SF. Thanks Baz...

Perhaps in the future you could articulate yourself without having to argue. Maybe I will acknowledge your posts in the future. Asking for clarity is not trolling. However ad hominem replies and reply with eristic intent are. Specially when you imply that you think you have a right to do so. Baza,

Thank you for your response, and I apperciate you guys tackling this. Could you verify what the score limit is? And if one person gets higher than the limit is it true that everyone on the server wont get there points or awards in that round? I just dont want to spend a hour in a game and somebody go over the limit and I dont get any points. I rather leave before the limit and not hurt everyone in the server. Its a tough situation for you guys trying to get rid of the problems servers and its tough for us as we hate not to get the points we earn. Thanks again for your help.

Don't install Beta. There's a final already out.

Install it in same way as 1.41... just run the patch...
Install order:
  • BF 2
  • SF (if you have it)
  • 1.41
  • 1.50
Then remember to update PB client. PBsetup

One big missed opportunity is equaling ground to air.

Choppers and planes have way too much power. Really, if a plane or a chopper can destroy tanks and anti air in one go then anti air should also be able to do that. Please change that because the overhand they have now is rediculous.

Either anti air can destroy planes and choppers in one go or a plane and chopper can not destroy tanks and anti air in one go.

This really is very frustrating because it completely kills the balance in the game up to the point you can only sit and watch while you loose because you can't move an inch in a ground vehicle without get slammed in one go!! Sometimes even without the tell tale beep and if you hear it you can't run away fast enough.


What also would be a great solution is too modify the anti tank guy to also be an anti air guy. It would balance the game more.

Agreed.
Maybe it shouldn't kill the ground vehicle, but reduce it to 5% health state, where it's burning, shortly before exploding.
Enough time to allow an engineer to get out and repair it.

After all, they did the same with the sniper rifles.
They should be lethal anywhere on the torso (not only the head), but right now they leave your enemy with 2 strips of health.

Yes, they did that in BF2142, where the class at first only has AT weapons, but can get an AA unlock later.

Actually, I think that adding infantry AA capabilities could single-handedly solve this problem.
Probably even turn around the favor, with aircraft getting dropped like flies, because infantry isn't visible on the HUD.

About falcon settings, if i set recoil force on 0 then the weapon will be more accurate??
will it be the same for choppers , planes and other weapons??
and if damage settongs are at 2.0 will it give more dmg??

hello baza

i like to thank you guys for this patch but still don't you think it's unfair that when i play as a medic and i press Z my aim goes nutts

but when a support kit press Z he gets a small aim just like 1.4 ( and with a better hitbox ) and he need like 4 shots ?

so can you guys bring the 1.4 Z back ?

and in real life if anyone got on the ground like when you press Z

he gets better with shots


and about the bugs and glitchs

there are bugs and glitchs that you don't need a C4 or chopper or any kind of kits

just like the rock in road to jalabad

and bugs just like the zombies and shooting while reloading

why didn't you guys fix it ?

atlast i just want to say thank you guys you made a great patch and a greater hitbox but i give someone a good headshot all i see is dust and no kill there not even a damge and the target is NOT moving
what's the word on that ?

and do you think that you will fix the Z ( get a bigger aim when you press Z with a assualt rifle ) and make it like 1.4

and if you want to fix the bugs and glitchs i'll be happy to give you guys all the glitchs and bugs that i know
