Default Machinima related - please allow "renderer.drawNameTags" in console

Quite a special request i have here, let me explain what is about.

If you create a Battlefield 2 movie, then you mainly use the battlerecorder.
But sometimes, it is required that you shoot scenes "Live".

An example would be a first person scene, or if you have created a new externalviews for a vehicle in order to shoot scenes from an incredible angle (which is not possible in Battlerecorder).

First step is to get rid of the HUD.
This is done fairly easy by typing "renderer.draw.hud 0" into the console.
But what then remains are the nametags, and this just looks horrible in a movie.

Now there is the "renderer.drawNameTags" command which does exactly that. Turn of the nametags.

But for some reason this command is not allowed to be used in the console.

Only way around is to create a modification and set this value inside the GameLogicInit.con, which then is bad as well, because you do not want to work without nametags during the entire production.
Coordinating scenes is very hard that way.

Therefore it would be great if DICE could also allow the useage of the "renderer.drawNameTags" command in the console, while playing online.

Thanks!

Yes indeed, that would be brilliant! Since with that modification you currently get kicked or cant even access a server

Create 2 batch files, one that inputs the required line to the con file and the other to remove it. Distribute that to your actors. Have them all use the first batch without tags during that filming segment, the other for when you need the tags to show.

I know it will be a painful proccess but its nearly the only alternative that you have I think.

Most hacks allow you to perform unauthorized commands. An old detected one will do, just beware of malware.

@TheOriginalShox, Frankelstner

Thanks for your input.
But the purpose of this threat is to AVOID those procedures which we have to use at the moment.

I also support this; would be nice to get rid of em for stereoscopic viewing.
