This is probably posted too late, but what the heck:

Those papers are flickering wildly as you move. They seem to be sunken to ground slighly too much.

Nah, I don't think so. Otherwise this texture would flicker in all places where it is used. In this situation it is sunken inside ground very slighly, which results flickering.

Well, you gotta have seen textures on your weapon flickering sometimes?

Wierd, maybe you just don't show enough attention. It's hard to notice when you are slaughtering the noobs!

The flickering happens when faces intersect. If you have two identical objects with different textures placed in the same location the texture will flicker between the two variants as you move around it. Even faces intersecting at right angles seem to cause this effect. Also, the effect is amplified at higher altitudes. Place an object at 400,000 metres altitude and spawn on top of it - you should see a lot of flickering on most weapons, most notably a C4 pack.

So as for the paper on the ground, it's on the same Y-plane as the ground and thus the engine isn't really sure which one it should display sometimes.

It would be nice if the issue got fixed somehow, but we all know that 1.50 is the last patch for Battlefield 2.

This thread could be removed now since the beta testing is over and the patch is done.

Un-sticking the thread.
Now the update is completed and your feedback used to help improve this map we don't need it at the top of the forums anymore.

Thanks to everyone who contributed and both Bjorn and myself hope you enjoy the new map you helped balance.
