its never been a problem in BF2... you've just not adapted to it. Walk out side..take off running and dive. Its nothing different than that. Its a defensive measure to avoid fire while being able to return fire. This is NOT a good change.

I didn't like it THAT MUCH

1- why you changed the control buttons ?? For jets and choppers ...
Last time it was much better
2- hitbox i dont see nothing new it still go throw choppers and hit bhined it .
( maybe you should make it like cod4 that kind that what ever your ping is it still gonna hit if you shot at the image )
3- and if i got kicked or banned i can't see the reason after i get kicked

you should fix that
4- one guy said that he had a chopper bug ( when he was shotting with tv missle
5- what about the ranks some people want 4 stars

6-i get somthing like a lag the hole screen freeze for 3 seconds then it goes blue after that it gets back to normal

about the hitbox can't you guys make it like single player ?? It's really good

now i know i came hard but we were waiting for it it's just not what we thought it would be

i know it's hard to fix a jet or chopper hitbox but we luv bf2

so plz make it like cod'lalalalabox =)

and maybe you might wanna make the grnades about 2 for each solder

Takes bf2 a good 10-20 secs to start for some reason.

Some servers when u click show server spaces available but you get disconnected for no reason and it returns you to the server brows list


EDIT: No messages show when you are kicked for any reason

It won't login for me, it says it's connecting to the account server then drops back to the account list page with no error messages.

*BUG*
When spamming the 'spotted' feature you can no longer type chat after your 'radio blocked'

operation blue pearl - the red zone needs to be extented on the 16 player map, usmc was having a hard time reaching land, as i thought when i first viewed the map. Also the 'fog' of war is a bit much, other than that i think its a good map, the toys really dont stand a chance being that there are plenty of buildings the INF can hide and pop out of.

Downside to this is that macro users own you in INF only games - something really should be done about this, i class this as a cheat as its not standard when installing the game !!!
i played on a inf server and it was like playing on a waib server. Its really not funnie especially as they can have the anti recoil macro running for the guns

The macros were never a issue with .3 second delay they put in on the last patch.. it was fine and no I don't use them..never have and don't need to.

This change needs to be reverted back to .3seconds and left alone. It changes how you can use a defensive measure against your enemy while returning fire. People need to accept this as valid game play and learn to adapt quicker.

Those that complain about this often get owned very quickly by a better player that has mastered this defensive move..and i'm not talking about one that uses Macros either. Same as usual with any patch..people cry and whine till its changed and ruines it for the rest of the players. The Forgotten hope team learned not to screw with game play changes...why hasn't DICE?

Common sense would be for us all to stop complaining and arguing with each other and look at whats going on behind the walls.. this patch still allows major hacking... take a look:

It should work in Windows 7 because there is no good reason for it not to.

Single player works. Playing on a local server works. But if you try to join a server on the internets, this is what you get:

1st time: Loading goes without a hitch, you click join, the select weapons/squad/map screen comes up - and then you are taken back to the server browser without as much as a beep (much less an error message..).
2nd time (any server; not just the one you just tried to join): Nothing happens. Map/server doesn't start loading.
Trying to join again after playing for a bit on local server/singleplayer: Same as 1st, except this time you CTD.

no, the dolphin fix is the same for both sides, learn and adapt, most servers running IO dont allowed you to dolphin dive these days, again if you have mastered the technique then its very hard to get that kill against you.

Again win7 is still a beta and therefore unsupported by many software companies, jesus people really are impatient, wait till its finally released Its also been posted in this thread that all win7 issues will not go answered for that very reason. Go whine on the Ms forums about it.

* Full client.zip and server.zip from EF Map Taraba Quarry (incl. EF Vehicles!) is copied to your harddrive by installer altough I don't have EF
* Some Xpack content is copied to the harddrive by installer (don't own Xpack either)

The fix against dolphin diving is good (0.3s to 0.7). I love it. Finally the game plays like it was meant to be played. It was never meant to be played like jumping and proning in mid-air. Now learn to adapt to this change and play like you should.

Keep up the good work DICE. I love this and all the other changes so far (I will try more tomorrow).

I noticed the problem about joining some servers. I had to click a lot/try in SP first before I finally could get into a specific server (some works, some not). I will look more at this problem tomorrow.

And yes, the server name/ip/graphic problem is still bugged. I really hope (I have my fingers crossed), to see this bug fixed

Well done so far with the patching, although there is some issues that you MUST fix to make the game experience enjoyable!


*I hope you will include the no mouse acceleration in the "real" 1.5, cause its REALLY a key to make this game a good infantry game, now when the hitreg is better.

*Remove the 0.7 second blockage from jump to prone, it was perfectly fine as it was! As it is now, you're way to static when fired upon, especially with this improved reg. When for example reviving a mate in a stressed situation this movement is crusial, removing it will make the game static and very much slower. The game is already kinda slow, PLEASE dont make it worse!!

*The new map is unbalanced, move USMC uncap spawn to the temple and everything will be fine!

*The hitreg is much better, AWESOME work : )))

lalalala. Hits still fail to register. The game browser which was always a source of concern, given it's poor performance for quite a simple job, now fails to initiate the game, simply going back to the browser on join.

Sorry, just like the allegedly deluxe BF2142 pack that fails to register, at the moment this is a fail.

No thats wrong... Servers that don't allow certain aspects of game play like jumping shouldn't be allowed to even be running! Something needs to be done about that too...DICE needs to step up and start policing some servers since they don't hardly run any of their own.

You do know that with this higher change you limit the ability to quickly hide behind a wall or an object like you would in real combat?? .3 was fine..it should be reverted.
