EA - Dice - Answer please

I want to know if this patch is real, or is it really history. Lets see you have

- Battlefield Hero's
- Battlefield 1943
- Battlefield Bad Company 2
- Battlefield 2142 PATCH 1.51
- Battlefield 2 PATCH 1.5
- Maybe other games on the way ...... (Battlefield 3?)

(ALSO DICE, IS BATTLEFIELD 3 EVEN FOUNDED, LIKE I REALLY WANT TO KNOW THAT, HAVE YOU OR ANY REP EVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THAT?)

Now dice is big, but this big? There are a lot of threads just like mine wondering whats up.

DICE guy said the installer is taking longer then expected but look at it this way you said how many months ago a patch is coming out, since then new hacks have been released, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has been announced and scheduled for release this year and hundreds of BF2 servers have gone offline.

I used to be a faithful customer.....

Now I am sipping tea with everyone else

I think your wasting your time my friend. I have been posting for ages on various forums about this exact thing. Not had one iota of a response.

I had a 10 man clan, all of us bought BF2, Armoured, Euro and 2142 and now we are down to 3 from our playerbase. Largely to the hacks and problems 1.5 was alledged to fix.

Its pains me to say it but you may as well move on.. I have. We have been left out in the cold.

If you keep on knocking the door will be opened.
and that is why I keep knocking
they will answer even if to shut you up
I post everywhere and will not stop untill I get answers and mostly have
so keep trying.
You have to admit it gets awfully monotonous though

people, i played BF2 for 3 years in a row, loved that game, was addicted to it.
stopped playing a year ago,after beeing here for some time demanding some answers too, when heard about a patch i even reinstalled and thought "hey when the patch comes out i´ll give it a try!!!".
this was 6 months ago... EA/DICE didnt change their atitude for a bit throughout this years, arrogance, lack of communication and a general well noticeable "WE DONT CARE FOR YOU" are the trade marks of their customer assistance.
good thing i stopped beeing a customer from the moment i bought BF2,and distanced myself even further from that when i moved on to other games.

yeah i still check this forums, but only cause i have a morbid curiosity to see how far they can still push this amazing customer abuse and push around story, the most abusive one i´ve seen so far.
so keep it up people , keep crying at them, im sure they still have a good laugh at the office reading all of this posts.

When that announcement was made we were starting work on the update. Since then, as you have mentioned, hacks have been released which have been investigated so we can close them down within the game and with the help of Punkbuster.

hey baza have you noticed the leaderboards as of late ..they are hacked big time the top ranked guys have over 1 million points that is totally ridiculous as the top guys 2 months ago were just hitting 700-800,000 i say just reset the top 200 players to 0 and clear it out when the patch gets released ..thanks for the continued updates as well ..it isnt your job to be posting here but some of us do appreciate it even if you cant be more detailed ...peace

We love you Baza. By the way, just installed BF2 Special Forces, I quite liked it.

I've misplaced my disc, and EA downloader wanted £15 for it !!!!!!
Bought a brand new disc from Amazon for £4.

Why is it still so expensive ?

I sympathise that responding to forum posts in not in yor professional remit, and you are to be applauded for throwing us a bone. Is there any chance you could speak to whoevers job it is to keep the customers informed and tell them they need to poke thier head up every now and again as patience isnt infinate, and the worm could indeed turn

They need to tell us what is being done along with an ETA, and if it's not met , give reason. There may be those that cat call regardless, but I for one would prefer news thats upsets me tan no news and being ignored.

Also wheres EA on all of this? I am almost certain this is there site, you would think you would see more of them.

Also waiting on Punkbuster and the hacks to stop may not be such a great idea, when I came in contact with a hacker in game they said there not to worried about the 1.5 patch.
