Bf 2 1.5 ?!? - Page 8

i would estimate 90% of the home i enter still have non-hdtv`s

an HTPC with a CRT is still a very common option if you dont have an LCD HDTV....

i would love to play BF2 or BF2142 in my living room.
with out relocating extra monitors just to hook to it so i can play on the tv.

i mean do you know how small this fix is?
i can play on my tv right now.....just as long as my vcard is ALSO hooked to my CRT monitor and in clone mode....

so since it actually plays on TV already how hard a fix can it be?
1.5 suggestion also....
when bf2/bf2142 detect lower then 60hz refresh rates when you launch the game IT ACTUALLY CRASHES TO DESKTOP.
so it is checking to see if it synced with the signal.
just turn that part off so it dont crash to desktop....just let it go ahead and boot anyway eventhough its not in sync.

This is more to do with your graphics card manufacturer than DICE. Pretty much all decent LCD HDTV's should be running 60htz or faster, with high end ones doing 200+.

You where (top of this page no less) and you should heed your own advice, you seem a bit lost in all the attacking. Don't bother replying to this, I know I won't.

I stand by my post its more of an issue for your graphics card manufacturer than DICE, I have never seen a game with a specific "TV OUT" mode. A quick few googles confirms as much. Given your attitude I wouldn't be surprised if it was you demanding a fix for a hardware issue YOU are having which is nothing to do with the game (square block round hole comes to mind). You can't do everything on the cheap and god help you when you need a new pc or even a damn toaster.

Braidedheadman is right, so where the other 2-3 users who pointed out your "replies" are attacks, even if people where joking (the situation doesn't seem right for trolling or troll bait as bhm says).

You've made your request, theres no need to go insult everyone else about it. It isn't going to make everyone else and their requests/ideas magically disappear and DICE pick your "tv-out" option, if anything and I was a developer patching my game looking for ideas/bugs and saw someone doing what you are I would be LESS likely listen to you.

What makes you think they will reply to your request, when they're remaining tight lipped about the whole patch?

You're just going to have to wait and see like the rest of us. Fingers crossed for you, sounds like it's a bummer for ya!

I am sorry but this has gone on long enough so I am going to close this thread now. If you all have separate topics to talk about you can make new threads on them. Plus their has been new news about the 1.50 patch mentioned. So a fresh start is in order as this thread has gotten a bit off balance.
