Lag is one main isue on maps such as warlords also the fact that no one seem to play Euro Forces & Armoured Fury anymore due to lack of new content, so to me it seems like I wasted money buying them.

We in Brisbane Oz, are definite BF2 fans and don't get much feedback down here so a little would be good I know you have given some out here but maybe a touch more thanks mate. Hi Just a couple of questions like everyone else. I know there's no point in asking what is being done for the BF2 1.50 patch its getting done I'm grateful for that ok first question in a ball park figure would the bf2 1.50 patch be available within a couple of months? Second question BF3 is it in development? and just guessing so a guessing answer would suffice. Is BF3 being released about the middle of next year 2009? a stab in the dark would be good if the above answers cannot be answered. Aye, can't grumble at least they are fixing and updating, the game is old now, but still in the top 5 played games on xfire, any update is good now for bf2.
We had a nasty hacker on our server, who messed with our server and made it report stupid millions of points per kill, spoofed our ids, basically wrecked the clan. I hope u know how they do it, and wil fix it! |

Just fix the server info bug and I'll be more than happy. Im asking for that bugfix only, please make that wish come true. I really do love the game so I hope that this bug get fixed (Im asking from the bottom of my heart). And of course other bugfixes would be great too..
About "Infantry only"-mode: I know what you mean Bazajaytee, but try to see it from our angle. We want to play "Infantry only" on all the maps, not just a few. Adding regular cars (the same number as in normal mode) would fix this. =) Last edited by JGrasli; 23-09-2008 at 03:41 PM.. |

Light Jeeps (and boats) would make the non city maps playable in IO.
The only reason people clamored for IO in the first place was because of the point imbalance in vehicle mode. Its no secret that the easiest way to get a high score is to use vehicles. Thats why BF2 has had the problem with TK ing for vehicles. Several of the previous patches tried to remedy this by changing weapon damage valuelalalalapoints, ammo counts, etc. This resulted in other balance issues cropping up which lead to more tweaks, which lead to other issues...... But the real problem with vehicle mode is the SCORING. If aircraft only got points for killing other aircraft and armor, or if they only got a fraction of a point for killing infantry, do you think people would be lining up and teamkilling to fly the jets? There were a few balance tweaks that needed to be made, but for the most part the balance issues that were addressed were in response to SCORE imbalances. |

Ahhh so its not that you want vehicles in the mode specifically you just want all the maps opened like BF2142 has for Infantry Only and believe vehicles are the key to getting them?

Personally I am very grateful of this feedback and couldn't care too much about all the bugs. My main concern is the amount of hacking out there. This is what really spoils the game and puts people off.
We at =FaRT= clan are trying very hard to get our servers upto speed and get a regular attendance of good players. This is all undone when we get constant attacks. I can sit on the servers for hours trying to populate them only to find it empties within seconds !!! Security has to be the main issue here. Thanks for listening and thanks for giving us hardcore followers hope. =FaRT= skutaboy |

I don't expect hints about the patch. But I would love to see a correction to the IO setting, a configuration which I and many others believe was overkill to address those players that complained about armor whoring. IO should really be non-armor and non-jet. IO should include ground and air transport so the larger maps are not simply long marches that end in a sniper bullet to the head...back and forth...back and forth. Call it No Armor, or whatever, but please include transport. Imagine a mobile force that requires the defending force to actually not just congregate in one place laying claymores every two feet, but anticipate a potential penetrating force and coming by land/air. Lastly....please...please don't wait until winter to give the community an update on the patch. Have the courtesy to give us frequest updates. |

@ vehicles in inf-only: there was the idea of a "light-vehicle-mode".
example: did you ever try to lay inf only on 32ppl or 64ppl dragen valley? @ grenade spamming: this is a very big issue. each kit has its ammo-limitations, but they are complete senceless because of the ammo-packs. the same probem an in my oppinion the biggest problem in bf2 are the infinite medic-packs and revives. if you are no medic and fight against one medic a bigger distance you almost have no chance. you hit him twice, he hides and heals himself as many times as needed. the same problem is figthing against a group of medics. you kill nine of ten, the last one starts reviving, and some seconds later they are all revived. as many times as needed... so a medic schould just have 3 medi-packs and 3 times defibrilator... that would make the inf only mode much more enjoyable. ppl shoul die by headsshots and grenades as they do by at-hits

Medics do have limited revive and heals. The defib has a charge and they have limited packs they can throw. Then they have to wait until they "re-arm" enough to use them again.

are you sure you've ever played bf2? its unlimited, with a riduculus wait-time between the revives/packed trows. one medic can revive infinite players, without re arming. what i'm talking about is a finite number of revives, that resets only at respawning or resupplying. like grenades, ammo and everything else... the same thing is about the ammo-packs. the supporter can trow an infinite amount of them. and this causes the problem of grenade spamming. trow 3 packs, trow 4 grenades, trow one or two packs, trow 4 grenades... if ff is turned of a squad leader can c4-jump on a roof (e.d. hotel-building at kark.), the supporter spawns and trows nades all the time. thats the worst case. of course it also works on karkands usmc-spawn and dozends of other places. if all the packs where limited for a "life", there would be: -less nade spamming -less instant-kill-prone-rul0r0rs (because they now know, that they migth not be revived -less "bunch-of-medics-take-one-spawn-after-another"-actions -less senceless revives the last point leads me to another big problem: revive-raping stupid idiot medics revive everybody in every case. the guy, who will be revived can not distinguish, if he want to be revived or change its class and spawn at another point. the medic revives and both ppl die because of the following grenade (i really like to kill these ppl, but im sorry for the ones, who are revived). you wait 10 seconds or more, a medics revives you, the nade comes and you have to wait additional 15 seconds(if you are not healed and killed again)... and the idiot gets two points for ****ing you off. and of course "rivive-kill"-rapings are possibile due to this. in delta force this was solved in an easy way: call for a medic, if want to be revived, or choose to die. the action "call for a medic" is implented since 1.0, but total useless (except making some noise...) this problem could be used so: if somebody dies he can not be revived, until he calls for a medic. nobody culd be raped or frequently be killed, because of point-horny (yeah that was word-by-word translation ) medics.btw: im very glad, that finally somebody even reads, what the community is thinking - thanx anyway.

We don't have one assigned to Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142.
Its dealt with by the EAUK guys on here and EA guys on the US forums. News and articles is being dealt with by me. Goodman who is the DICE Community Manager is assigned to Battlefield Heroes. |
