The rock glitch was well know when ea released jalalabad, and haven't done nothing to rectify at all.

This thread should be deleted, there isn't gonna be another patch coming out with BF3 here this time next year.

DELETE THIS THREAD...

Heh.

The irony here would be that, in so doing, they acknowledge what's been assumed all along - albeit indirectly - and that essentially we've been strung along and lied to these many months.

Frankly, I think the admins here are reluctant to touch the topic because they know as well as we do what the reality is but they have no official go-ahead to confirm it openly - not while BF2 is still being sold at regular retail outlets. Wait for it to hit the bargain bin.

GG EA.

Thats not irony...A cook getting food poisoning in his own returant on his day off, thats irony!! (only joking...are you american??)
But that action would reveal EA, (in that they gave out this thread of hope to sort of keep us occupied while thay do nothing....(nice tactics)), to be a little bit evil..

Can someone from EA please respond to the question as why is this thread not closed and deleted? It seems to have no purpose, especially as a sticky. EA has not plans on releasing another patch. Just trying to buy time until their next release in the BF series

Various press reports have stated that EAUK is being 'reorganized'. I have no idea what that actually means, it could be that there is no one left to oversee these forums.

Of course that doesn;t explain the disappearance of our DICE community representative....

By my watch, it's been over a year since the last patch. Also, I was looking in my local game store the other day and I happened to see BF2 complete edition selling for a mere £12. Saying that though in another store I saw the deluxe edition selling for £35. It isn't quite bargain bin all round yet.

^ Nope, it certainly isn't. It's still occupying valuable retail space on the foremost display rack at all the games shops that I like to check out. Those are brand spanking new games they are selling. The customers that continue to pick them up deserve support. At the very least, they deserve an honest answer to questions like those asked here. I hope the newbies like Karkand.

More development of Special Forces would be nice....just got back into it over Xmas after finally getting sick & tired of nade-fests on Karkand every other round.

Lol, you get bf2(vanilla) for free with hardware buys, videocards, sound cards ect ect. And ive seen the vanilla versions for Eu9.95 in store, the complete collection is still 35 or something. I think there are still lots of new players, only not the most desireble players............attitude seems to get worse and worse, kids??

Ill still stick with FH........although i wish people would LEARN!!!!

it's a lot better now than it used to be, originally you were more likely to shoot your own teams planes down, lol. this is a subject that went round & round and is the reason I almost exclusively play inf only.

i just noticed that DICE_Sentience is now 'retired' as well. (last post on 11-13-07)

Did I miss the announcement of a new community liaison or is all contact with Dice gone?

Don't look to EA to fix that. Look to the mods instead.

Watch how, in this video clip, a squad of infrantrymen rock the air-jockies' world with man-portable AA devices, lol!

And let me tell you, as a jet jockey myself, those little beggars are nigh impossible to spot and are gone by the time you do. I don't think I've shot down more than a handful of MANPAD kits in retaliation since I started playing PoE ages ago. The jests are almost entirely anti-vehicle anyway; best thing to do is simply run away from MANPAD kits.

PoE FTW!! Click the sig to get started!

love the POE mod, shame that is only a handfull of servers with people to play
the situation here about the patch question has reachead an unthinkable stage.
first they mumbled about it, then they would start to post pre ordered made sentences with generics responses, then they started to harass forum members with deletetion of posts that only contained pertinent and important questions.
now they moved us to a dead forum, dissapeared and locked the door leaving us with a little playroom called "patch discussion thread" were we are sure not to bother anyone with protest threads that are bad for some giants image until we dont get bored about asking for a... what were we asking for anyway? seems i forgot , a long time has passed though...

This is old news, but it's probably worth mentioning again:

No More Battlefield 2 Patches Planned.

EA/Dice's reply to the article above.

Given the length of time that the patch question has gone unaddressed, much less answered satisfactorily, anyone care to wager that it's all just lie? I've had cake better than this one.

this forum looks like our parents home when they go out for the weekend.
let´s throw a party here posting some nude babes pics and link´s to hacking forums!!!!

maybe they´ll stick their head out if we do that...
EA are just a bunch of lalalalalalaed capitalists that only deserve a barbed wire stick up their lalala.
some of you might find this opinion too harsh but it took me at least a year of pacience to start firmly thinking this way ,so...

They are all 'retiring'.
Sheesh, you guys complain the admin presence is overbearing, then you complain that it is nonexistant. What the [swearing] do you want? Information??????

Heh.

Well, to their credit, I don't think that anyone has ever complained about how the admins have dealt with this thread. They are, after all, deliberately kept in the dark about just as much as we are here (so they say). This is just EA's official, stickied, "You Suck!" thread... It's where they let us know that they don't give a rat's patooti about us and where we let them know that we're on to the game their playing with us and that some of us won't continue to play while others of us will. Sort of a sick, months-long round-robin that way.
