But seriously, not patching BF1943 when it's played off HDD. It can't be that difficult for them surely.

A million units were sold ($15,000,000 equivalent) and no support. Pretty depressing really.
Agree totally.

They can but they won't, something to do with the difficulty, so too much work for nothing basically.

I am now wondering whether it would be a good idea for more maps to be released as a DLC because that would then split the number of players playing the original maps and the number of players that have paid for new maps in a DLC. I think it would maybe make more sense if they just released another game BF1941 or whatever with 3 new maps, the same gameplay but different armies & weapons, say the British and the Germans.

Due to the great success of the game I can't see EA not thinking about making more money with the added bonus of not having to build a new game engine, and what better way to intice gamers than having European maps with the good old Tommys & Jerrys going at it tooth and nail.

And before anyone uses that reply that they should fix BF1943 before they do anything else, talking from a 360 pov, the game works fine & doesn't need fixing.

Ya, it went a hell of a lot longer then this 15 dollar arcade game with cartoony graphics, I'd rather play Battlefield: Heroes then this lalalalalala

All Dice's games die because of Dice.
If they gave a dam about customer satisfaction and their reputation they would have put a few days aside to fix all the issues.
Why spend 365 days making a game when you can't spare 7 to make a patch to make it perfect.
BFBC good game, Dice never fixed the issues
BF43 good game, Dice never fixed the issues
And people are actually pre-ordering BFBC2
Insane
1million says the word from Dice 4 weeks after BFBC2's released is "were all working on BF3 now so no time to do any work to BFBC2"
Dice wont support us, so I wont support them, i'll be getting my BFBC2 2nd hand, even though by the time I get it it's gonna be dead aswell.

I suppose economics plays a part and limited resources for ongoing projects, was the plan to make a £10 game and add to it later to make more money or to get people interested in more expensive Dice products.
With PC games they always seem to be released incomplete and map packs for COD what a money spinner that is.
I think for 43 to survive they will have to come up with something soon you can"t stand still in Gaming world.

That's fine, because I won't come back to DICE. A 3 level shooter and that's it? Sure you'll sell some more games to the kiddies but the more discriminating gamer (who actually buys their own games) is getting sick of your marketing hubris.

Fail.

When a multiplayer shooter is released the community, without fail, settles on 2 - 4 levels that get played over and over. Look at the popularity of Dust and Dust2 in Counterstrike or 2fort4 on the original Team Fortress. DICE decided to release a game with 3 fun levels for way, way less than the cost of a full retail game.

So you can all quit your lalalalalaing about a lack of content.
