The thing is that Microsoft said that there are no refunds for this game, but at the same time the costumers have the right of getting their money back because it was officially announced that Oceania will have their own servers.
Its like a few days ago one hotel offered a weekend in the hotel for only 1 cent. ofcourse it was a human error, but in the time it was posted on their site many people ordered the rooms, so by the time they changed it was already to late. Now they will actually have the right to be in the hotel for the weekend for only 1 cent.

I actually purchased the game on the day this post was made , whilst i knew there would not be servers right away i though i would buy it anyway as a thank-you and to show my support for DICE. Again i was not told an exact time but come on there is a bit of a difference between a few days and a five weeks. When dose it become an unreasonable amount of time?
Besides this issue is no longer about the servers or if i get a refund for me it all about principle. Read the post after GVD says the servers will be up in a few days http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/battlefield-1943/739107-oz-server-update.html There is nothing but praise for the man and even those questioning why we did have them to start with were grateful, and Gordon was posting quite regularly. Now we have threads like this one, the message we are trying to send DICE is we will not lie down and take it and that we demand to be treated the same as the rest off the world. |

Kotaku on Aus/NZ Servers. These fixes aren't instant and sure you've waited this long a bit longer won't hurt, don't you have anything better to do? You do realise the more hostile you be the less response you get, I mean why should a developer waste his time posting when theres such hostility? Would you?

I'd prefer he didn't post here.. everything he posts says the exact same thing.
Some of you say that we don't know what we're talking about and it should take months, on the contrary.. I've worked on a good share of video games and close friends in the industry have worked on 360 arcade games. It just doesn't take this long to initiate a server - nor to fix a problem with it/them. Not unless you've got a school kid working on it. Given there's no indication of them fixing their other numerous problems, I'd put this down to laziness. The only thing they look to be working on is advertising BC2. |
