What is wrong with this game and what can I do to stop the constant freezing on my PS3 system.
I take very good care of my system and it ONLY freezes with BAttlefield 1943. The freezing is so constant that I cannot play more than 30 minutes without having to manually reset my PS3. ![]() What is the issue? And how is it being addressed? Will we get a patch? Are there any quick tips to deal with this? Who will be responsible for my PS3 system if it breaks down due to this constant freezing? |

That has happened to me once and it's NOT PACKETLOSS. Because if it would have been, you would be able to hold the PS button and close down the game but you can't... the whole system is frozen. I've played many hours of BF1943 and only one freeze so far, not sure why you get them so often though?
And it's not overheating either, the PS3 would have notified me about this with it's blinking leds. |

Thats true. The entire system freezes and we can't even return to the main menu.
All buttons are rendered useless. The only option is to do manual reboot which I wouldnt be surprised if it starts damaging PS3 systems. I hope EA/Dice take liability for damaged PS3s due to this game. I am very close to making this my last EA purchase ever. Why doesn't EA/Dice live up to their side of the bargain by delivering a stable product? |

My theory is that they buggered up the unlocking of the demo.
After about 50 hours of play I can pretty much set my clock to it. In fact I do. At the 31 minute mark, I'll either get disconnected (from EA, not PSN), the game freezes as in: I can run around and everybody else is frozen. Planes stuck in the air. Or, and this happened about 10 times so far, the entire PS3 freezes and I have to turn it off manually. |

ANY official suggestions from the DEvs?
I have posted everywhere about the system freezes and nobody from EA ever answers anything. FYI: no this does not happen with other games, no my PS3 is not getting hot, no my router is not overload with other internet connections. Why dont we get any official help? And please.... if you are not having any issues, refrain from posting. Your comments DO NOT help us. Try being a little supportive; who knows in the future maybe you have issues and everyone else is making fun of you. |

Also the issue isn't "overloading internet connections" or "overheating", its to do with packet loss which is a different matter. True the game handles with it in a horrible way but still, something is causing. Just to clarify that something might not be equipment you have, it could be your router/modem/line to your modem/ISPs exchange/routing from your exchange to EA/etc. Quote:
