What time are you trying? Maybe I could join you guys before I leave for Cali on Friday to see what happens.

Cool. I'm in different community than the guy you were answering but I have too had a problem with private matches. They just don't work. It's nice to see that you are looking into it.

Hi,

I wanted to know if the ports indicated in first post for Xbox360 are incoming and/or outgoing ports?

Thanks!

Generally, you only have to deal with the inbound rules, outbound is automatic - if the connection is initiated by you, the router will allow the return connection through automatically.

forward all the ports listed inbound through to your console.

Default Comms comms comms

Could someone enlighten me please?

I've been trawling this forum for any answers to the COMMS issue that every single PS3 BF1943 player seems to be having. The question has been asked about 1000 times but no-one from DICE seems to have answered it....

Every other issue gets a timely response.....

The comms issue doesn't even get a "well tbh we just don't know"

Can someone from DICE please just let us know 1. If they know why we're having this problem. 2. If they think they can resolve it. 3. How long it will take. 4. Are we gonna have the same problem with BC2. 5. Do they care.....??

I belong to a community where about 80 of us are playing this every night. We love the game and we're hoping that ALOT of our members will buy BC2, however if the comms aren't sorted soon then I think most will stop playing this within a week and only a few will bother buying BC2 when it's released which will be a crying shame.

A team based game without comms is boring. In fact a team based game without comms is NOT a team based game....

Please!!

for as far as i know nothing has changed. i forwarded all the ports just in case (didn't help) and can't think of anything else to do.

hope you can help!

My questions haven't been answered eithier. I have managed to connect with EA online, but still having that same problem which is:-

1. I connect to EA online
2. I join a match
3. within 5 minutes of that match I surpposebly lose connection and get kicked out of that match
3. It reconnects me to EA online on the main menu literally straight away with no hassel such as freezing, etc
4. Then the same thing happens again and again, none stop.

the time I have had on this game (very shot matches 5 min at most) is great.

It is really anoying though, so can EA fix it.

If it is the same at the end of next week I do want my money back.

Thanks.

P.S. I did also have the exact same problem with Battlefield Bad Company so I took that back at got my money back.

Gordon is their anyway I can contact you... It seems I am having an odd problem. Maybe you can enable your PMs for 1 sec or some other means. I would like feedback on what you think may be the problem

GordonVanDyke:

Hey... game is really fun, when it is working. Question for you:

Is there supposed to be a functionality where I can invite someone (in the same match as I) to my squad? (I am on PS3)

I send them a squad invite, the PS3 notifies them with the popup window that they have an invitation, but how do they actually JOIN me? I mean, in the main menus there is the "Pending Invitations" button (Triangle). But how does one actually join a squad invite when in the match? There seems to be no obvious functionality for this.

Also: Is there an official feedback and bugs list? I have not talked to one person who has not had black flickering squares randomly occur on all maps. I'd like to know at the very least that you guys are looking into all these little bugs. (also the game locks up for people... hardlocking the PS3.)

Thanks!

Hey Gordon,

I didn't even realize it was you i was talking too earlier, sorry if i acted an lalala but ive been up for 36 hours . Hopefully my rambling was helpful in some way lol Great game with the exception of the mic's for PS3 BTW same thing was wrong with the PS3 BF:BC when it first hit, then the patch with the Conquest mode fixed it. Maybe it'll help maybe it wont. Later.

I agree the game is excellent. But why they did such a complicated on line conection other all games work fine.I can play only after 1am till arround 8-9pm.So my wireless conection is fine i spoke with tech.support the set up for me channels, DMZ and others think so my router is fine.So long i can connect at mornig time it's everything ok.Problem must be in that too many people play through the day and morning lesser.and these smart geek can't solve a problem.

well i tried linking my PSN with my EA account and all i kept getting was this ----

"Sorry, we can't find information about that PLAYSTATION Network Online ID Before you can link your PLAYSTATION Network Online ID with an EA Master Account, you need to log in to any online EA game with your PLAYSTATION 3. Once that is done, check your email inbox at the address you used to sign up for your PLAYSTATION Network Online ID for an email from us describing what you need to do to link up your accounts."

How am i supposed to do this when i cant connect or login to EA Online on any games with my PSN???

Default Freezing suggestions?

I am going to continue to check into the port issues(as my router and modem have recently been giving me issues), but any additional tips for consistent freezing? I have done multiple steps in the following thread to resolve my issue, but I won't give up playing this game on my own console.
